Hello Everyone! I have a question about Illinios. We live in Ontario, Canada, and want to drive down to Florida next year. My husbands uncle lives in Normal (??) Illinois, and we were thinking about dropping by to see him, on the way. If we're driving from Michigan, how far out of the way would it be?
My geography stinks, it always has. Half the time I don't even know stuff about my own country :confused3

Thanks for the help!

From Detroit to Normal, Il is about 388 miles. 6 hours and 15 minutes or so. The difference in miles from going straight to Orlando versus stopping in Normal, Il is about 300 miles and about 4 1/2 hours give or take. It's easy to Get to Normal, it's straight SW on I-55 from south of Chicago by way of 80 if coming from the Detroit area. From Normal it's mostly at an angle towards Orlando from there, once you're in Southern IL. Be prepared for some flat, boring farmland in Illinois...lol :woohoo:
