This PTR needs a name!!! Hope to see you real soon!! Well, not too soon!

SO STINKING JEALOUS!!!! That is AWESOME! Can Ferb come to my house and do a few Disney Husband (you know, dh :)) lessons for Scott? :worship:

:cool1: Thats great! Yay Ferb!:thumbsup2 So lucky:) we are thinking about an adults only cruise next year for our 5 year anniversary and I'm excited about that... but I can only focus on one trip at a time. Very excited for you!

Thanks.. we are just in the early planning now so not too much to think about..mostly just when is the big thing now!

I LIKE the way Ferb thinks!!!! You'll have to read my TR when we get back. Hopefully I will have a lot of tips and info for you! I know how you feel! I am jumping out of my skin everyday thinking about this upcoming trip. Booking early is the best way to go with Disney. It only gets higher and higher as you get closer. (something Skip found out :rolleyes1) And even the inside rooms are extremely awesome on the Dream with the new virtual portholes. I am almost jealous we weren't able to get one....almost. LOL! But if we do end up doing another in the future, I will have no probelms at all booking insde.

Definitely gonna be following you around! ;) Yeah, those inside cabins look really nice..in fact it was the pics of those rooms that got us originally thinking of the Disney cruise line. That and Castaway Cay looks AWESOME!!

:lmao::lmao: I should rent him out!! Believe me when I tell you that this is a different Ferb from even last year...we have both made great strides in our personal growth and this particular effect has made me pretty happy :lovestruc ;)!

Awesome! I cannot wait to try the cruise and all these Dream PTRs/plans just get me more excited, but they aren't even booking for our dates yet (fall 2012). In the meantime, I'll just have to read TRs to pass the time. :)

Hi there!
Just read through your entire PTR (took a few hours between working, watching the baby, cleaning, lunch, etc), but I am all caught up!
First off, I LOVE those blue Tink shirts!!! :lovestruc I need to head to Walmart and stock up on some Disney attire!
I hope the kiddos (and everyone) is feeling good! No fun being sick!
And how cool that you guys may get to go on a cruise!! Props to Ferb!! :thumbsup2
So excited for you guys!! Your trip is sooooo close!! :woohoo:

I know, I have A LOT of reading to do!! I was just telling Ferb that I was reading a little on the Cruise threads and I need to learn a whole new language...I don't even know any of the acronyms!!:rotfl:

Congrats on the cruise! :yay: We would love to cruise on the Dream someday.
I never thought we would be doing something like this..it just goes to show that you never know!pixiedust:

Thanks for doing all that reading!! :surfweb: The kids are all better:thumbsup2!! I was pretty surprised that we got those t-shirts at Walmart...especially since we live in Canada and the selection here is usually pretty crappy. We made some shirts with lots of help from the people on the Disign boards, we will be posting pics later!! Yep we are totally excited about booking a cruise...we just need to wait for the final numbers on our tax return....pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:!!!

Here are the t-shirts we made with tons of help from shadowryter on the creative disigns board...the original idea for the stars came from donatalie but she is no longer personalizing her designs and shadowryter has her permission to continue using these designs!!

First up the shirts we made for DD's:

The Rapunzel shirt is our fave!!

Followed by Ferb's and mine:

We can't wait to wear them..the Peter Pan shirts we will have the girls wear when we go on the pirates and pals cruise because we get to me Peter Pan at the end!! We are so proud of ourselves..this was our first foray into making t's and we love how they turned out. Ferb wants me to put in a disclaimer however: the picture faded during the first wash..they still look great, but the colors aren't as vibrant as when you first put on the transfer.
There, Ferb, you happy?

Love the shirts. Rapunzel is my favorite too, but Jedi Mickey is a close second!

Thanks...Ferb is a big sci fi geek so the Jedi was a very good pick for him...we had a hard time with the Rapunzel and Mary Poppins designs and had to wait for shadowryter to design them for us...she was awesome!!!

Those are great. Did you use iron ons to put them on the shirts?

Yep..we got the transfer paper at Walmart and downloaded the pics from the disign board, either with them adding the name or with us adding the name. We followed the directions on both the packaging from the transfer paper and from the disign board on how to reverse the image and print them and then how to iron on the paper. It wasn't too hard once Ferb figured out which program to use for the image...he's pretty good with that kind of thing:surfweb:!!

I need some Ferb help DESPERATELY!!!!!!

I am trying to print out magniets for our cruise. I have 2 nametag designs. and there is 3 of us. So I can put 2 images per sheet....but my printer is acting up.

Lately when I try to print, it has trouble feeding the paper in, so I manually do it and most times it works. (though the other day when I made the countdown calanders it wasn't :confused3) So today I printed out my tags on paper first and it went smoothly. I thne went to print it on the magnet paper and it kept getting stuck. It would just print the whole thing in about the 1st 2 inches of the sheet.
I finally got 3 to print after yanking the paper out (and cussing) and retrying it over and over. I used 3 pages for these 3 images (I should've had 6 images at this point) I will have to order more magnetic paper now, because I already used almost all of my supply and only got half of what I wanted done today, plus there are some other images I want to print as well. (Only 5 sheets in a package)

So does Ferb know how to make the paper advance in the printer (is there something I can fix in it?) And what settings I should use. I ended up using a coated paper setting, but still had problems.

I also plan to do some iron ons. What setting did Ferb use for those as well? (I think I do have an iron seting, not sure if I should use that or not? ) I might as well get all the info I can at this point. LOL!

Hey, Ferb is gonna check in with the PTR on his break today and see if he can give you any advice...but what kind of printer do you have? That might help him give the best advice, if he can..

hmm....it could be a number of things but here goes.......

1. check your printer for a paper thickness setting ( possible for a envelopes . etc) this might be a lever or something that allows thicker paper to feed into the printer (check you manual for this feature)
2. Possible paper jam in the feed rollers ( from all the pulling and pushing of the paper). Use a flash light to look in side the printer if you can.....
3. The Feed rollers themselves can be old and glazed from the wear and tear
(if you can clean them with a damp cloth and microscopic drop of dish detergent) that might help.:confused3 but it might tricky to get to them inside the printer.:headache:
4. Maybe is time for a new printer (2-3 years) is the life span of a inexpensive inkjet printers, but a cheap HP printer at my local super walmart was $29, so its not that expensive to get in replaced :thumbsup2
6. For t-shirt transfers, more printers have a setting in the printer software( in the printer properties in Win xp) that will alow the printer to change the resolution to max (check you manual ) in might have it listed as speciality paper or transfer paper ( but not photo paper)

hope this helps

I have a Dell 942 all in one. It is old I guess in printer years. I think I got it in 2005.
I probably should get a new one. My DD Paige has one I bought her 2-3 years ago that she doesn't use, so I told her to bring it over....but she could take weeks to do that. LOL!
I don't think it came with a manual, but I'll look. I keep thinking it just came with a CD...again, got to look to see if I have any of that around somewhere. I'm sure I do, but just no clue where.

Thanks

At this point I would either give up on the printing or buy a new printer. It sounds like yours is past it's prime and if you can get one as cheap as Ferb says then I would go for it!!

Hey! I hopped over from your post on another PTR I was reading because I noticed you were going in March too! It look like our dates overlap a little too! We're not arriving until the 4th. I haven't started a PTR yet because I'm still working on my Nov/Dec TR and Jan Half Marathon TR but here's our tentative plan:

March 4:Arrive at 11am, rent car, check-in at Sheraton VIstana (timeshare), lunch at DTD, shop, maybe MK, Health & FItness Expo, Dinner at Kona (our favorite restaurant)

March 5:EPSN 5k, Animal Kingdom, Epcot DiveQuest, Via Napoli

March 6: Epcot, lunch at Le Cellier

March 7: My mom's bday, off day, dinner at Narcoossee's

March 8: HS, Fantasmic! dinner package at Mama Melrose

March 9: Magic Kingdom, dinner at 1900 Park Fare

March 10: Breakfast at 'Ohana.

Now, this next part is a secret. My mom has no clue but this day, we're leaving and going on a cruise to the Bahamas on the Disney Dream! I won't be including that in my PTR because my mom reads it and well, we're not telling her until we get the port. Anyway, it's the 10-13 then:

March 13: Driving back to Disney, hanging out at MK and staying at Old Key West for the night

March 14: Departure Day... 1 pm flight:sad2:

So, it looks like we may run into each other the 4th at MK and maybe one or two other times but I got a little lost on your plans when you switched your HS and Epcot days.

Either way, it looks like you have an awesome trip planned and I LOVE the autograph books, passports, and t-shirts that you made!
