This PTR needs a name!!! Hope to see you real soon!! Well, not too soon!

No new info to post...did some Disney shopping the other day at Walmart and got the girls some really cute long sleeve t's with Tink and Alice on them. Figure it will be chilly some mornings or evenings and if they don't wear them much at Disney, well they definitely will here in the Great White North!! I fear that we have reached a stand still in the planning dept!:sad2: There really isn't much left to do..got all the ADR's set up, the flights are good, park plans are set up, got DME set up as well...bummer, gonna be trolling the boards for any new info and just to get my fix:surfweb:. But I am happy to say that we are still ripping the mickey heads off our countdown calendar with gusto:banana:

Just got home from working all night. I am taking an extra day off this weekend :cool1:. Why am I telling you this, what does this have to do with Disney? Well, we have plans to drive up to the nearest Disney store. It's not too far, but it's worth taking an extra day off to be able to go with DH and check it out. I used to love browsing in those stores, and then they started closing them like crazy. We used to have two stores in the Western New York area that we would go to, but alas they are both now closed. So we are stuck trying out the closest one here in Canada. I am a little afraid of the prices:eek:. I was looking on line for some shirts for the girls, unfortunately Disney never has their size in stock, they need an XL now. I might need to start buying them adult sizes. So that is what we have planned this "weekend". That and I wrenched my back last night so a trip the the Chiropractor is in the agenda as well :headache:.

I miss our disney stores so much. One closed about 3 years ago and the other last year. We dont' have any near us anymore. I use to buy a lot of stuff there with great sales!!!

I hear you on being at a standstill with planning. We have been for quite some time as well. Hoping to have this time to spend time planning with the kids.

I'm loving your plans! Our tentative dates are close to yours. March 2-9. We have monday as a rest day too. I just need DH to give the official OK and pay it off. He said we could go in March, but he loves to keep my hanging to the very last minute.

Ooooo, that would have me in a fit wondering if we were actually going!
You must have a lot of patience!!! Where are you guys planning on staying?

Oh yes. He is not high on my good list this morning. I reminded him last night that a decision needed to be made by the 15th. (after he brought up the Disney converstation, talking about a friend who just went) I have told him 3 different times about the deadline. So then he kept saying the 15th? Thats too soon to decide. etc. I told him we will lose out on about $700 in savings if we don't pay by then. (actually it's a little less, but I wanted to strike the point!) I don't know why he has to be so wishy washy. He said we will go in March, so why not just say yes and be done with it. Soo this morning he tells me that he didn't sleep well because he has so much pressure with a deadline. I know thats not the reson, because his hip was bothering him last night from the weather change, but he is trying to give me a guilt trip, which isn't working. He is sooooo last minute with everything like this. One year we booked a trip 2 weeks before we went. I did a lot of scrambling, but got most of what I wanted.

Yeah, see that's the problem isn't it? We need time to plan!! Don't these boys understand by now? Actually, my DH has been great supporting the need to plan, this trip especially! Good luck with yours!!!

Minor update time! We went to the Disney store yesterday and we were disappointed by the selection:sad2: We got a couple of things there and had some lunch. By the time we left the mall I had been awake for over 20 hours and had worked all night long and gone to the Chiropractor before we left for the mall. We still had an hour drive home too!! Needless to say Ferb drove home while I fell asleep for the hour drive, then laid down for a nap after that:cloud9: I woke up this morning in more pain than when I went to bed and had to go to the Chiropractor again!:headache: He manipulated the H E double hockey sticks out of my back and I think I am on the mend now. We had some more running around to do today and I talked Ferb into a stop at the dollar store to check out their selection of disney paraphernalia. That is, I said "Let's go the dollar store" and Ferb said "Oh yeah, let's see what kind of stuff they have for Disney"!! Great minds think alike!!;)
When say we were disappointed with the Disney Store, let me elaborate. Our DD's are not your average sized kids. Rapunzel is 4 years younger than Stitch, but she is wearing the same if not larger size in clothes!! It's hard when you have a six year old who wears a size 12 or 14 and you can't find something age appropriate for her..and the Disney store stops at a large which they say fits a 10/12, but looks like it's a size 7/8. So no tshirts with Rapunzel for her :sad1: We had to buy them adult t-shirts and we did the best we could with their selection. But without further ado..here is our "booty" from our shopping trips..also includes the t-shirts I got at Walmart last week plus the window clings and wipe off board for our resort room door that we got at the dollar store:

Have you looked at the Disney Store online? I'm usually reluctant to order from them because I never spend enough for free shipping and theirs is expensive, but someone over on the Budget Board pointed out that this week they're running free shipping with no minimum order.

Yeah we checked it out, but sadly nothing in my dd's sizes there except authentic park merchandise..that's a good thing, though, because it means we should be able to find stuff while we are there! Not interested in getting anything like that before we go.

Horrible weather!!! Absolutely horrible weather here!! The kids had a snow day, well technically they decided to cancel the buses, and if they don't want to drive in this, then I don't want to either!:headache:

So, Ferb had booked this day off a while ago thinking we would have been out late with friends last night, but between my back and this weather..well, we had a free day on our hands. And what do we do with free days here? :surfweb::lmao: We designed and ordered personalized autograph books from Walmart! Thanks to the wonderful post by musicmouse, we got some great uploadable pics of autograph pages and went on the Walmart website and ordered two photo books for the girls. They will arrive on the 18th ish to the store and we will post pics of them when they come in. That's all for now..I am heading downstairs to tackle some laundry :laundy::sad2:!

I did the same thing for my kiddos. The personalized autograph books, I ordered them through snapfish and got an awesome deal around Christmas, I have pics on my thread as well. can't wait to see yours. Now we just have to remember to pick up some clickable sharpies for them yet.

YUCK to the snow, we have had a decent amount but no snowdays or anythign here yet, kids are bummin' about that.

I loved all the shirts you got they are so cute. I hear you on appropriate clothing as well. My 11yr old is in junior sizes, she is quite tall for her age 5ft6in already. And I am not a big fan of the clothing choices and neither is her dad. But we make do.

Yeah, I saw your autograph books and that's what got me started with ours!!:thumbsup2 I never checked out snapfish. We actually started the whole project thinking we would be printing them ourselves, but once we saw how much ink we would be using we started looking online for options. The ones from Walmart are soft cover and have 44 pages including the cover pic and came to $26 each including shipping to the store. I'll definitely post pics when they come in. I was wondering though, how you made your pass ports? I don't know if we have anymore patience after this last project, but maybe it's something we can do from our own printer? Let me know what you did!! Thanks again for the inspiration!!:worship:

It's snowing here AGAIN!!! :sad2: Can't stand this weather!!! :headache: It's pretty, light, flaky snow..but I still HATE it!! Oh well, my back it still pretty sore, but I managed to get out of the house and do some shopping today. It's my cousin's dd's birthday this week and with all the weather and back problems I didn't get a chance to do any shopping for her. I went "over the river" and shopped at the Walmart in Niagara Falls, NY. They have better selection for EVERYTHING!! So I got her present and did some food shopping as well. While I was walking through the pharmacy dept I saw something that I absolutely need when I fly..they are called earplanes and they are special ear plugs that deal with the pressure from flying. On our first trip to Disney I had a bad head cold and thought that my discomfort was from that, but the next time I flew I still had a lot of pain and no cold. I read about earplanes here, actually and tried them last year :worship::worship::worship::worship: I :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc them!!! No pain at all!! So if you have any problems with the pressure in flight, try them!! Walmart has them for around $3.50.

I am shamelessly bumping myself to the top of the list:flower3:

No news, just work and work and work...but it's going to help pay for this trip, so I guess it counts towards the ptr!! ;) I'm starting to love my ticker..look how far Tink has come!!
