We use touringplans.com. It's not that expensive considering all the info they have. But you can get most of the same info for free from easywdw.com as well!

It's probably because of ESPN and Fantasmic. I guess the crowds go up every fantasmic day since they only show it certain days of the week now. We have it on our Must Do list..so irregardless of the crowd calendar we will be there!

Well, with every vacation countdown comes the inevitable milestones!! Starting with booking the trip, in our case making a countdown calendar was the next milestone. For some it's hitting your ADR window, we had them done before we booked the room because we wanted to be sure we could get what we wanted! Then you have your double digit dance, which we never got to do since we started so late! And of course there is your 45 day mark that means you have to pony up to the man!! But at least that means you've hit another milestone!! Then when you have nothing left to plan, all of your ADR's are set in stone, after much tweaking , and your "Disney box" is full of goodies for your trip, you have your DME tags, you've received your package info (none for us this trip as we did room only)..what other milestones are there? Mine is ACCUWEATHER!!!! Yep!!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE having my dates show up on accuweather.com's long range forecast!!! I know that the weather will probably be doing a complete switcheroo between now and then, I just love seeing those dates!!! Of course this doesn't compare to being able to do online check in at 10 days out and doing the single digit dance is pretty spectacular...but I love it nonetheless!!

It says 69 degrees and sunny...that would be a perfect day for us to arrive...I NEED to see some sunshine..and 69 degrees doesn't sound too hot, but to us, after the winter we have been having? It's getting to 47 degrees today here with rain and I am ready to head to the beach!!

March 4-MK WAS 9-8 now 8-8 WAS level 2.4 went up a bit(can't say how much, sorry)
March 5-Epcot WAS 9-9 stayed the same WAS level 4.6 went up a teeny bit
March 6-DHS WAS 9-8 w/one Fantasmic at 7 now 9-9 w/added Fantasmic at 8:30 WAS level 4.3 now YIKES!!! (That's all I can say)
March 7-Rest day no parks(We're gonna need it after that day at DHS!)
March 8-Epcot WAS 9-9 stayed the same WAS level 5.0 went up a bit
March 9-MK WAS 9-11 now 9-9 (WTH?) level WAS 4.3 went DOWN!! (Probably because hours were shortened..which is okay, but still bummed about those hours)
March 10-AK WAS 9-7 now 9-8 WAS level 7.2 went up a teeny bit

I'm sure the YIKES! on your DHS day has to do with the fact that it is the only day that has both Fantasmic! and ESPN the Weekend going on. If you notice, TP.com's advice for that weekend weights ESPN the Weekend heavily which is something I'm not sure the pure wait times support. I belong to both TP.com and TGM and they each have very different opinions on how much the ESPN event affects normal park touring, and the anecdotal evidence of many DIS threads contradicts TP.com's POV. Everything I've read here says that the weekend can cause some traffic flow issues with the motorcades and around the stages, but doesn't significantly impact ride lines.

I think you're going to be there at the right time. Looking at room availability, it is the supposedly low-crowd dates in early March (up to the 3rd) that show absolutely no available value or moderate rooms, but from the 4th through the rest of that week there is quite a bit available. I suspect a lot of people tweaked their spring break/Mardi Gras travel dates to get in on the tail end of free dining, and that's overlapping the hold-over from Princess marathon folks who decided to make a vacation out of the event.

Hmmmm, the room availability info sounds good, as do the stories I have also read about ESPN weekends. We are definitely NOT a sports family, so all that ESPN stuff is lost on us. But if we avoid the largely sports infused areas we should be good...I HOPE!!!! But yeah, you're right about TP's reaction to Fantasmic. But like I said about a month or so ago, if we want to see it and we don't have park hoppers we are stuck going on a Fantasmic day. We could have gone later in the week, but it would have compromised either our Epcot or MK plans including ADR's. What are you gonna do? Just go with the flow and have a plan

So, between work and sleep and just plain life, I need to seriously knuckle down!!

It is now 10 days folks!!! YAY!!!! We can do our Online Check-in if we choose, which we don't. I figure that with all the time we will be spending at the resort it is pretty important where our room is located. I know that they have automatic room assigning now using a computer program and it doesn't have our room requests on file. That being said, I do have a request put in anyways, hoping that like people have said, the CM checking us in could possible arrange to have us put in our requested building. I don't want to do online check in knowing full well that I am going to want to discuss what else might be available and hold up the line for other online check-in guests. We won't be in a hurry, but that doesn't mean others won't be!
This past weekend was a rough one for sleep. I didn't get much accomplished because I was sooooo tired all weekend. I did manage to get all the vacation laundry done and I am about halfway done ironing it. I wasn't going to iron but the clothes sat for a day in a big heap and got ALL wrinkly. I am going to sleep ALL day today and then I have one more shift tonight before my weekend. I have a funeral to attend tomorrow morning but then I am free to tie up as many loose ends as I can this week. My mind is a whirling dervish right now pretty much 24/7 trying to think of all those loose ends that I might have left. Haircuts for the girls and Ferb, and I want to take the girls for faux mani-pedis for fun. I have appts for both my hair and a mani-pedi. There are a couple things on my list that I need to pick up as well, Ferb needs allergy meds and I want to get a travel size Lysol Spray for the hotel room. See so many little things that I need to start writing down as I have the thought. But for now, sleep!! Hope everyone is having a good Pres Day. It's Family day here in Ontario, Ferb and the girls will be spending it together while I spend it asleep Oh well, we will make up for it big time in 10 DAYS!!!
