Hey everybody! I thought I'd try my hand at a trip report, since I've enjoyed reading so many of yours. :yay:

DH and I went to The World for our honeymoon from 9/23-9/29. I was a little nervous about it because DH wasn't really excited, he only agreed to go because it was what I really wanted. Well, by the 3rd or 4th day he kept telling me how much he wanted to go back, and I'm now planning a trip for next fall! :rotfl2:

First things first...This is me, Heidi:

And my handsome DH, Bryan:

We had both been to Disney before, but not since we were kids. In fact, when DH went, it was only the Magic Kingdom!!!!!! And the last time I went it was just MK and Epcot. Clearly, we had a LOT to see. :)

We opted to go a week after the wedding because we wanted to be there for the F&W festival...too bad we were too full from our DxDP to eat much of anything at the festival!!!! :rolleyes1

Over the last SEVERAL months, DH mocked the amount of time I spent on Dis, but he admitted when we were there that it was all worth it, so thanks!

So the night before we left we were up until about 11:30 finishing packing...and then we had to get up at 3:30 to make our 6am flight. YUCK!!!!! I figured I'd sleep on the plane...nope, I was way too excited!!! The flights went smoothly and we were in Orlando by 11am. Found the ME without much trouble and zoomed right through the line! :cool1: Less than a half hour later, we were pulling into our resort!

POFQ is so beautiful! We loved it immediately. Much to our delight, our room was ready for us! We had reserved a King room...and we were lucky enough to get a corner room with a beautiful view!
7434_165996192052_527427052_3663236_5528905_n.jpg

Having eaten breakfast at 4am, we were pretty hungry by now since it was past noon, so we headed down to the food court to grab some lunch. It was pretty good, nothing real special, but tasty.

Next, it was off to MK! In retrospect, we REALLY should have taken a nap first, but we were just too excited and amped up! So we braved the heat (it was 30 degrees warmer than home!!!!!) and set off. The wait for the bus was minimal
7434_165996202052_527427052_3663237_1646615_n.jpg
and it wasn't long before we could see the castle!! I think I was literally bouncing in my seat, I was so excited!!!!

The park was not at all crowded. We walked right onto The Jungle Cruise, POTC, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain and The Haunted Mansion. Dang. :wizard: I think it only took about an hour to ride them all. Did it occur to me that perhaps we were overdoing it on our first day with so little sleep? Ummmm, no. Did we pay for it later? Sure did, LOL!

Next we headed over to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan, but the line was too long and we didn't feel like waiting so we continued on to Tomorrowland and rode the Tomorrowland Speedway. We were definitely underwhelmed with this one. Not worth the wait, at all. Oh well. Then we saw that the wait was only 10 minutes for Buzz, so we rode that, too. I kicked DH's butt!! :woohoo:

By now it was pretty late in the afternoon, and we had 7pm ressies at The Biergarten so we decided to head over to Epcot...I'm so glad we got the park hopper!

Took the monorail over and DH got his first look at the giant golfball, LOL. By now we were kind of dragging so we got a sprite and just sat in the shade for a while with our nice, cold drink. People watching is definitely fun at Disney! :rotfl: We skipped over Futureworld for now and headed straight back to the World Showcase. Took it nice and slow, LOL. We did the ride in Mexico...it was cute, and so nice to get out of the heat, which was kicking our butts!!!!!!! We were going to ride Maelstrom, but it was on the fritz. Don't fret...we got onto it later in the trip. We just kind of wandered for a while, and then headed to Germany for our dinner. We were seated with a really nice young couple, and a family of four. The family was a little anti-social, but the other couple was great! The husband and my DH had similar taste in beer, and they're both hockey refs, so they had a lot to talk about. But DH was so happy when his giant beer came...
7434_165996222052_527427052_3663239_3762241_n.jpg

The food was great, the show was rockin
7434_165996227052_527427052_3663240_6842602_n.jpg

but the service definitely left something to be desired. How hard is it to be a waiter at a buffet? We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, he never cleared used plates, and when we asked for our bill, it took him 20 minutes to bring it, and then another 15 to ring us up. Definitely the worst service of the trip!!!!!!!! By the time we were done eating, we were ready to head back to the resort. I felt bad, because there were EMH, but we were dragging, and we had a 9am breakfast ressie the next morning. So we headed back to the room (where our bag was waiting for us ) and unpacked. We fell into bed and I think I was asleep in about a minute, LOL.

The next morning came waaaaaay too early. Definitely overdid it our first day, but it was worth it!!!!! We took the bus over to MK, and then the monorail to Poly. We had a 9am ressie for Kona. So yummy! And our waiter was fantastic! Really funny and made a big deal about it being our honeymoon. After breakfast, we wandered around Poly for a bit.
7434_165996232052_527427052_3663241_2433758_n.jpg

We decided to take the boat back to MK, and one of the captians was nice enough to take our picture:
7434_165996247052_527427052_3663243_924012_n.jpg

(Can you tell we were looking into the sun?)

When we got back to MK, we decided to take things a little slower than we had the day before. We weren't used to temps in the 90's, and lack of sleep was definitely taking it's toll. So we took the train ride. :)
7434_165996262052_527427052_3663245_5320300_n.jpg

BTW, notice the hat? While DH may have had his doubts about WDW, he was the first one to buy something Disney! :rotfl: It was a Grumpy hat and he loves that thing.

Keeping with our "slower pace" mantra, we headed over to Tom Sawyer Island. It was so nice and shady.

7434_165996282052_527427052_3663248_4480554_n.jpg

And then we got right into the Country Bear Jamboree. It was exactly what I remembered from my childhood!
7434_165996312052_527427052_3663251_4567052_n.jpg
.

We had a 1pm ressie for Liberty Tree, so we headed over there a little early. We had to wait for a bit so I went and got a bottle of water (have I mentioned it was hot!?!?) There was a banjo player, and when he saw my "just married" button, he played "Here Comes the Bride". It was really cute. When we were finally called, we were so happy to be in the A/C! I have to say, while a lot of people told me we'd regret spending so much time at TS restaurants, it was actually a really nice break! I don't think we were sorry to go sit for any of our meals! Our lunch was really, really good. I had the pot roast and DH had a burger. He liked the burger, but he LOVED the toffee dessert he had. LOL. He wouldn't even share and finished every bite. Not at all normal for him!!!!

After lunch we just wandered for a while and saw this pair:
7434_165996347052_527427052_3663256_6701074_n.jpg

and then DH wanted me to get a shot of his WNY biathlon shirt with the castle:

By then we were exhausted, and we had dinner ressie's at Narcoosee's, so we decided to head back to the resort for a swim and a nap. I'm so glad we did! The pool was wonderful, and we slept for about an hour down in the shade.

Narcoosee's was fabulous! We didn't have to wait very long, and there was an opening at the bar, so we just relaxed and had a drink while we waited. When we were seated, I was really excited to see that we were given a table right next to the window and had a perfect view for Wishes! Or at least, we would have if the TALLEST MAN ALIVE had not decided to stand right in front of us. Grrrrrrrrr. And our meal had just come so we didn't want to go out to watch. We were able to see a lot of it, but I was still kind of bummed. (Especially since as soon as Wishes was over, the man and his family headed down to the dock to catch the boat. They would have had just as great of a view from there. Oh well. The food was great, and the service the best we'd had so far. There was one problem...we were too full for dessert!!!!!!!! No worries, they bagged it up for us to take back to the resort. Gotta love the mini fridge. So For breakfast the next morning, DH had chocolate orange cake, and I had almond crusted cheesecake. YUM!

The next day was our DHS day. We didn't have breakfast plans anywhere, so we just enjoyed our dessert from the night before and then we were off! This was the first park neither of us had been to. I was really looking forward to TOT and the Rockin Rollercoaster. They did NOT disappoint!

When we got into the park, we headed straight for TOT. I was a little nervous about this one...but it ended up being my favorite ride at DHS!! It was so much more involved than I was expecting. I figured it just takes you up and drops you. I loved the whole thing. We headed straight over to the Rockin Rollercoaster to get a FP, but there was only a 15 minute wait so we just got in line. I got a few great shots of TOT while in line:
7434_165996362052_527427052_3663259_7573673_n.jpg

We also loved the roller coaster. It was DH's favorite ride at that park. I think that ride was the first time he noticed that most of the rides let you off into a gift shop, LOL. We wandered for a bit to give our stomachs some time to settle, LOL. I loved these guys:
7434_165996367052_527427052_3663260_3810552_n.jpg

We were going to go see "Voyage of the Little Mermaid" but it was a half hour wait, and I'm impatient. We checked out The Magic of Disney Animation, instead. It was pretty fun, and most importantly, COOL! Next was The Great Movie Ride...OK but I don't know if I'd bother with it again. We did The Studio Backlot Tour next.

After that it was time for lunch at the SciFi Dine in. Now, DH had mocked me for getting up at 5am 90 days out to make my online ADR's. And then SciFi happened. We were sitting waiting for our table to be ready and there must have been 20 groups who didn't have ADR's that came in to see if they could eat there, and they were all turned away. DH said, "I guess we really did need the reservations." :worship: LOL, I didn't get any more grief from him about that!!!!!
We loved this restaurant. The theming is fantastic, and it was fun watching the old trailers. We split onion rings and spinach dip for our apps, and then both got burgers for our entree. One of the best burgers I've ever had!! Normally, when I order a burger rare, it comes out much closer to medium. This was rare, and so delicious! Only problem...we were way too full for dessert. Probably because we had milkshakes with lunch, LOL. But the waitress brought us a champagne toast because we were on our honeymoon. :woohoo: Way better than dessert! LOL.

After lunch we went to see Muppet3D.

We were still kind of dragging so we headed out. I caught one last pic of DH:
7434_165996442052_527427052_3663269_7609733_n.jpg

All told, while we enjoyed DHS, it was our least favorite park. I think that next year we'll probably only do a half day there.

We headed back to the resort and hung out at the pool for a while before getting ready for dinner at Raglan Road. We took the boatride from POFQ to DD.
7434_165996452052_527427052_3663270_6407708_n.jpg

We had some time to wander around a bit before checking in at Raglan Rd. They were able to seat us immediately. We both LOVED this restaurant. Easily the best service of the trip. We weren't crazy about the soda bread, lol, but everything else was delicious. DH of course found a beer that he loved. I stuck to lemonade for this one.

After dinner we wandered around some more. I loved the giant lego sculptures!

By now, my feet were dying and I was definitely ready for sleep so we went back to the resort.

Saturday was an Epcot day. We didn't have breakfast ressies, so we went to our food court and got some beignets. OMG, yum!!! Almost as good as the ones I got in New Orleans!

Thanks, Jen! I'm glad you're enjoying the pics!

So after breakfast, we did some laundry and then headed off to Epcot. We had a 1pm lunch ressie at The Rosa and Crown. We got to Epcot around 11am, so we went right back to the World Showcase. We were able to get onto Maelstrom this time, and DH really liked the trolls. We did watch the Norway movie, and then he got this pic of me in the gift shop:
7434_165996482052_527427052_3663276_6327329_n.jpg

We spent some time in Italy:

And Morocco:

7434_165996557052_527427052_3663283_4740454_n.jpg

I think Morocco was my favorite country. It was all just so beautiful!

So then we were off to England for our lunch and really looking forward to some A/C...only one problem...we were seated outside! :scared1: We did not enjoy this meal. It's too bad...the food was really good and our server was a sweetheart, but we were just so miserable in the heat.

After lunch we wandered around England for a bit and then went to watch the movie in France, and then went over to Future World. There was no line for Nemo so we jumped on. We loved the aquarium after and spent a lot of time watching the fish before going to watch Turtle Talk.

After that we hit up Spaceship Earth on our way out since the line was only 5 minutes long. After that, it was back to the resort and the POOL!

We had dinner at The Yachtsman that night. Sooooo delicious! It was without a doubt the best meal of the trip! And for dessert we had the best creme brulee we had ever eaten. While we were there, the skies opened up and it absolutely POURED! We had already decided to take a cab back to our resort. The storm made us very happy about that decision. :rotfl2:

Sunday morning, poor DH woke up with a cold! But it was our day at AK and he definitely was a trooper. We had an 8:25 ressie at Tusker House for Donald's Safari breakfast. Getting to the park before it was open was so amazing. I did have to laugh, though...there was a family right behind us and the 2 women in the group actually ran up ahead of us so they could be in front of us at the restaurant. So dumb. The best part...the characters came over to our section of the restaurant before theirs. :lmao:

Our first glimpse of the Tree of Life.

7434_165996662052_527427052_3663295_5617649_n.jpg

The characters were so much fun, and the food was really good. Both DH and I love bisquits and sausage gravy and it was very good here. And it was so cute, they gave us a card signed by all the characters to congratulate us on our wedding.

After breakfast, we went straight over to the Safari and practically walked on. I think there was maybe a 10 minute wait, if even. We both LOVED this. Seeing the animals so close, and in such realistic settings was amazing.

Then, we went down to the Tree of Life to watch "It's Tough to be a Bug." It was really cute!

And then it was our first trip to EE:
