That makes sense. It was just a pain when we had reservations at a DTD restaurant for dinner, had spent the day at DHS, but wanted to go back to Epcot for Illuminations!

1-Bus from DHS to Saratoga Springs (next to DTD.)

2-Walk, bus or boat to DTD.

3-Dine at DTD

4-Bus to Boardwalk.

5-Walk or Boat to Epcot's Int'l. Gateway in WS.

6-See IllumiNations.

Caution: A bit of a rant follows

Although this is a helpful thing to know, I find that we keep going over the same thing over and over again and answering all the same questions that have already been answered up-thread. I'm not understanding why people aren't reading the entire thread before asking their question. Then they wouldn't have to ask again.

Are you just NOW seeing that many posters don't actually READ the threads?

No. I have noticed it before but this one stands out because it's not like it's 100 pages long. I guess what's surprising me is that people keep answering these questions over and over. Let those with questions refer to the rest of the thread.

Good thought-

It AIN'T gonna happen.

Well, I'm going to do my part. From now on, when people asked questions that have been answered only a few posts before theirs, I will politely tell them to scroll back. :) If everybody did that then maybe people would start actually reading threads.

You know......there is a ton of transportation info over on the Transportation board. If you have a specific question regarding transportation at WDW you may be best served by asking there...that way your question won't get lost in the business of this board.
Thanks to the OP for posting about the park to park buses....it is indeed a good thing to know!!! Many don't.

I'm just glad that so many people have seen this and now know you can, for example, leave AK and take a bus directly to DHS. It still shocks me though the amount of people who did not know this info and the many claims that WDW CMs told them they had to go to a resort to transfer!:confused3 I hope some more people see this today!

Gee, I've been reading these boards for a year and I didn't know this either! Thanks for clearing that up. How do waterparks fit into this?

Can I get from any of the water parks to any of the theme parks? Or, do I have to go back to my resort?

I know that when I was at Blizzard Beach recently that there were bus stops to get to EPCOT and DHS (and of course most resort busses went to AK). I don't remember seeing a stop for the TTC.

Does anyone have pictures of the BB sign or know if there are similar theme park busses from Typhoon Lagoon?

Edit: The picture of the DHS sign posted earlier in this thread shows the Blizzard Beach bus (oddly listed as Disney's Blizzard Beach Resort):

I do the park to park bus transportation all the time. Especially, when I don't feel like driving over to the other park, and have a lot of time. The bus transportation is just one of the things I love about staying on Disney property.

I know a couple of years ago, some CM's told me they were telling guests there were no direct bus routes via each park. The reason given was Disney was trying to discourage non-resort patrons from using the Disney Transport buses. Especially, from the DTD area. They said this was causing major problems during the peak seasons. Hence their reason to direct people to get the buses from the resorts. When I was there this June, I still heard them telling guests there were no direct buses from park to park.

I heard some talk back then (two years ago) of Disney having guests show their resort ID to get on the buses, but none of this materialized. Just to be clear, this all came from Disney CM's.

Maybe my memory is bad, but I thought you used to be able to get the buses to the parks from DTD until two (2) or three (3) years ago. If my memory serves me right (I could be wrong and it is old age setting in), this was part of the controversy.:surfweb:

>Note: The MK buses connections arrive and depart only at TTC.<

MK/TTC> Epcot = Monorail
MK/TTC> DHS = Bus
MK/TTC> AK= Bus

AK> DHS= Direct Bus
AK> Epcot= Direct Bus
AK> TTC/MK= Bus

DHS> TTC/MK= Bus
DHS> AK= Direct Bus
DHS> Epcot= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.)

Epcot > TTC/MK= Monorail
Epcot > AK= Direct Bus
Epcot> DHS= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)

I have seen this posted many times on the boards, and its a great little chart, my only knock is going from DHS/AK > TTC, to me is not considered "direct" transportation to the MK, because you still have to get either the monorail or ferry to the MK. Maybe thats just semantics

"Direct" in this discussion means as opposed to having to first go to a resort or DTD to make a transfer.

Since the beginning of the parks, TTC has always been the "entrance" to MK.

The resort bus depot near MK's front gate is a relatively new addition.

I wish I'd noticed (and memorized) this thread before we went this past week. My MIL, a dedicated park hopper, spent way too much time transferring buses at the resorts to get from park to park. And every single time we asked a CM about direct transportation between parks, we were told there wasn't any. Grr.

Be sure to pass along your hard-earned lesson to others.
There are SIGNS at each park's bus depots that specifically say where the stops are for the direct buses.

The ignorance of many park operations of "CM's chosen at random" is legendary.

:scared1: Shocking!

I hope you let your MIL in on this info for next time!
