OK Hi all - I haven't posted in forever, but I had to share with you that I had the BEST in room dinner ever here just minutes ago at the Beach Club Villas!

The baby (DD2) is sleeping like an angel in her bed and me (momma) is all alone while everyone is out partying and such, SO I decided to treat myself and get a yummy meal delivered:

gnocchi with prosciutto, peas, and shrimp in a lemon cream sauce (HUGE serving) which came with a yummy fluffy dinner roll - the gnocchi were light as air and the sauce was heavenly

AND for dessert I got a chocolate profiterole filled with chocolate hazelnut cream and topped with a layer of dark chocolate. The plate also had a creamy vanilla-type sauce and a dollop of whipped cream!

To all the moms (and dads, and grandparents etc.) who are out there watching the little ones, TREAT YOURSELF! It was the best thing I ever did. I literally was sitting at the table with my eyes closed and a big smile on my face after each bite and enjoying the silence (a rare thing).

Well...I hear the EPCOT fireworks! I am going to watch from my balcony and feel grateful for all my blessings!

Thinking of you all-
Erika

Thanks for sharing...it makes me remember when our son (just turned 2) and it was dinnertime for us but he was still sleeping so my husband called to see if private dinning can have Narcoosee's get me Maine Lobster and a surprise dessert. We had a wonderful dinner at our room while our son sleep like an angel. One of the best dinners we had b/c my husband and I got to eat in peace and quite and not leaving my son with a sitter. When on vacation always spoil yourself. I bet you when your family comes back they wished they had some of your yummy meal with you.

Yep, you are right, I am jealous :goodvibes

Good for you to treat yourself! Sounds like a wonderful evening at my favorite resort :lovestruc

Sounds like a great night.....:goodvibes

I have done the same thing but not at Disney. DD was at a cheer comp. and I was not chaperoning. So I had a room to myself and enjoyed every minute of it. Including room service.

Tonight is a little less glamourous...eating a chinois salad from puck express and sugar free pudding snacks...lol.

and yet, you are at Disney!! :wizard: (and I'm not! pffffft!!! lol)

My favorite in room experiences - we stayed at Poly (:wizard: upgrade! ) and dd wasnt feeling well, I went to Kona and was able to get our meal "to go" and stopped at the gift shop (while meal was cooking) and got wine!! So dh and I shared our Kona meal, with wine!! In our room!!

then a few years later at Pop - we had gone to Cali Grill, dd was ill, but we were on free dining - they said she "had" to order - but we could get her meal "to go" so we did = the next day - dh and dd went to DTD and I stayed in the room and had that meal - it was a great memory!!

so it is what you make it!!

Thanks for sharing!! :wizard:

Wow I don't even know what that is but it sounds yummy. Good for you.

Sandy- You are right, I AM here and so happy about that. I will try to post more food reviews. I admit I have gotten so lazy about it over the years. I definitely want to post about my Narcoossee dinner. It was amazing.

Flametamr- gnocchi are a kind of pasta, but it is made with potato rather than just flour. Profiteroles are cream puffs. Maybe you could try it soon...i bet you'd love it too!:flower3:

Where did you order from, if you don't mind me asking?

I don't mind at all :goodvibes - I am staying at Beach Club Villas and ordered the "chefs daily pasta creation" off of the "in-room" dining menu. I am not sure exactly which restaurant made it, maybe Yachtsman?

I had leftovers the next day and ate them for lunch...I was a happy camper. The portion was huge.

Hello fellow CT resident - your meal sounds delicious - thinking of staying at BC in December. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. Would love a review of Cape May buffet if you're going.

Hi CT neighbor, we just checked out of the BC on Friday :( But it was a great stay. Just love SAB in that hot Florida sun. My guilty pleasure was a cup of gelato from the marketplace everyday. It is so good! Love that you can now get more takeout from B&C. Will have to try the room service next time. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Hi CT neighbors!

I will post a review of our breakfast at Cape May when I return home, as well as Narcoossee, Citricos, Wolfgang Puck, Jiko, and Paradiso 37.

I will have to try the gelato at the Marketplace. I also LOVE their "salad bar". I didn't know B & C expanded their take out. I will have to check it out.

Looking forward to your reviews!! I heard that B&C now serves breakfast? We're headed to BCV in Jan!! :goodvibes
