Im getting the dining plan for my next trip and im staying 5 nights, 6 days. so does it go by days you are there or the nights.

like will i have 6 table service credits, 6 counter service and 6 snacks

or will i have 5 table service, 5 counter service and 5 snacks.

I'm 90% sure it's by nights, but I'm sure someone here will know for certain

It goes by nights, not days.

Yep, it goes by how many nights you have ressies for. So, if you're staying for 5 nights you'll get 5 TS, 5 CS and 5 snacks per person.
