I was over at my sister's house today to watch the big game. Before hand, I was looking at some Disney stuff on her computer, and my 9yr old niece was in the room. I called her over to look at the computer and she said "Disney" I'm kind of Disneyd out right now".

I am shocked, because this is a girl who loves Disney. Loves being called Princess by all the CMs. Loves to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as many times in a row as she can con the rest of us into riding. She loves the characer meals too. We were just at DW in October. And we went twice the year before.

I did tell my niece that I was hopping that she, her mom, and myself could take a quick trip to Disney World in December. That I thought she might like to see the Christmas lights and attend a party. Actually, I already have a reservation booked, because I was lucky enough to get that 40% off Deluxe resorts pin. My niece did tell me that she thought she would be ready for a return trip by that time.

I know it is no big deal, but it really did take me by suprise. And made me a little sad. :sad1: I know you guys understand.

I understand how she feels. I get a little Disneyed out sometimes myself. It's been a couple of years now that we have gone and I'm ready again, but when we plan trips too close to each other, it can be too much.

My 9 year old and 13 year old asked if they could go somewhere BESIDES Disney this summer, since we just went last year. :confused3

I feel that, we have been every year for the last 4 years and are talking about a 5th this year when our new baby is born :scared1:... Sometimes I wish that I could take a step back and leave it for a bit, but I'm the only one who feels like that so I tend to get swept away with the tide lol :rotfl2:

"Disneyd out" What is that, some sort of disease?
I hope it doesn't hit my family:lmao:

Sadly DS suffers from this condition too. He'd rather go to snowboarding (try it, he's never done it) than go back to Disney. He's not a rides person though, so I figured it was only a matter of time.:sad2:

...this is EXACTLY why I'm taking 2 trips a year (as much as possible) with the kids now. They're still not to that point yet. When they do, I will be heartbroken, and yes - will be willing to cut back to one trip a year. But don't push me any further than that! ;)

My husband does this to me too.

When I ask him where he would like go instead,
he says Camping...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

not gonna happen buddy.

Stay at The Campsites at Fort Wilderness, that way you both get what you want. ;)

My seven year old niece said something similar, but when I told her she could stay home during our next Disney trip, she snapped out of it. I wasn't saying it to be mean, just to let her know she didn't have to go if she didn't want. She's been begging to take a trip to NYC, so we might take her along when we go for New Year's, but I'm thinking that might be a grown-ups only kind of trip. We'll see...

My kids are 13 and 10 and even though they love going to Disney asked to just do a relaxing vaction this year, :lmao: They requested the beach, so we are going to Topsail Island, NC.

When we went to WDW my 7 year old DD who had never been there asked if she could stay home because she heard there is lots of walking and she didnt want to get tired and have to go to bed early. Ay yi yi...KIDS!!! LOL...
