This kid might commit suicide i need help!

I dont know where to put this and i am so sorry if this is in the wrong thread and so sorry for bad punctionation spelling and such ahead of time because i have no time to spare!
My pen pal whom i have known for over 4 years whom i met on the americangirl club just said her sister's ex-boyfriend has been cutting himself and has been thinking alot about committing suicide. Only my friend and a few others know about him wanting to do this and are standing there doing nothing. My friend said she was told by another friend that if she told that the kid is going to commit suicide that he would kill himself faster. Ive been trying to tell her she needs to tell somebody but she thinks everybody is going to hate her! Please help me i dont want to see this kid do this!

trust me i have been trying to convince her of this, since around halloween alot of things have been going on that havent been so great in her life and right now she is having a complete breakdown about her life and then saying how great my life is and i have no idea what to say to her at this point..

The problem is, you have to be extreemly delicate when confronting a suicidal person.

You've kindof confused me. is your friend tahts freaking out the suicidal one or another friend?

I think your friend should understand that all problems have solutions if we have faith. Just try and tell her that though her friends may be angry at first they will thank her in the long run, but til then she can try and find comfort in the fact that she did the right thing and if she doesn't do it now she will always regret it.

Explain to your friend that its much better to have everyone mad at her and have her friend living then her friend commiting suicide.
Does she not realize the urgency of the situation?

I vote we all fly out to where ever this chika is and slap some sense into her!! coolshan I don't know what to tell you but I think you should just let her know that you support her and will be her friend no matter what she chooses to do. Maybe all she needs is to know that a friend loves and supports her through it all.

coolshannie u should tell an adult or someone that can help. if ur friend won't tell then u need to before it's too late...

Tell the non-suicidal friend that she is being selfish if the only reason she won't tell anyone is because people will get mad at her. If you have been at her since Halloween, you can't stay all "goody-good" anymore. People will get over anger easier than death.

Ask your friend how much she cares about this person and it is more than a even a little, tell her she needs, has to, MUST do something about it. A suicide isn't a small matter, it is entirely serious and the loss would be tremendous on any one who knew the person.
