My DD didn't need a breastfeeding doll. When she was 2 she took one look at one of my friends beastfeeding during playgroup, hiked up her dress and pressed her doll to her chest!

My daughter does the same thing. She just pretends with a regular doll. HOWEVER, I'm all for this doll. The more exposure our society gets to breastfeeding, the better for everyone! I don't understand why people are against it??? It doesn't hurt anyone and so I just don't get it.

Somehow feeding a baby with them has become obscene which I find really backward.

I wouldn't need to buy a doll for that! When my daughter was little, she had her shirt up and her baby at her chest. I didn't even make the connection until I asked her what she was doing and she said "feeding my baby". I thought it was cute and since she had never had a bottle ,what would she know of feeding a doll one?

Then, again, they have a toy dog that poops now. My 5 year old wants it and I told her we would just rename her real dog to Joker my pooping pal! LOL.

Not every touch is sexual in nature, and quite frankly it disturbs me that people think it is, especially when talking about the way kids play.

Umm, really? No touching at all? That is too depressing for me. My dd 9,8 & 3 all play doctor, dress up and breast feed their dolls. ( the older one did when she was littler). When friends come over, they also play with them. Something is wrong when We won't let kids touch each other during playtime.

As I have 3 girls, I try very hard to teach them to be proud off their bodies. Their bodies are wonderful! As we discuss, girls can have babies and that breasts are for feeding those babies. Boys giggle about breasts because they don't have them. (explains a lot about grown up boys, too) .
