The dole whip was the perfect way to cool off! It was even better when it melted into a smoothie and was drinkable though a straw! YUM!
As we were walking around we noticed this new restaurant... at least we think it is pretty new! We have never seen it before on any of our previous trips.
We never got a chance to try it, but from what we could tell it was another quick service restaurant. Does anyone have any reviews on this place?
We decided to take a break after walking around a bit longer because we really wanted to explore AKL. We had dinner reservations at Ohana and needed to get back to get cleaned up. We left MK a little earlier than we had to so we could see what was going on back at the lodge.
Here is the view from our balcony. The giraffe's were fed right by our room around 4:30 each day.
Cute story about the next picture.
Notice the anokole cattle and the white bird in the left-hand corner? This was the sweetest thing! The little white bird (Ibis??) would follow him around all over the place. I am sure he was eating off of him or something, but it was so sweet! The ankole cattle would walk a little, the white bird would walk right next to him. He would stop, and the white bird would stop right beside him. We watched them do this for about 15 minutes! It was super cute! It looked like they were best friends
Before heading out for dinner we walked out to view the savannah from outside the lobby area.
We loved staying at AKL! It was always so nice to come back and watch the animals!
We hopped on a MK bus and then onto the monoral to make a 7:00 ressie at Ohana. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Poly! I hope that one day we can actually stay there. It's so expensive, though!
We were a little early for our ressie, so we went to the gift shop to kill some time.
They told us it would be 30 minutes, but our buzzer went off within 10 minutes!

MMM.... pineapple bread!
Wings - DH loved these!
Potstickers - I could eat the whole bowl of these!
Noodles and Veggies
The pics of the meat and shrimp did not turn out very well. But, it was all delicious! Especially this.....
We asked for the sauce to be left on the side so we could make each bite as sweet as we wanted
Overall, we had a great experience at Ohana. We like to do this restaurant once every trip. The food is always good and the Hawaiian vibe makes it fun! We were kind of bummed because we were seated away from the stage area where all of the action takes place, so we felt a little left out. But, it was still great!
We headed back to MK to finish some attractions and watch Wishes. We first went on the People Mover. DH did not want to do anything that might of made him sick after eating that huge dinner!
Have any of you noticed they have redone the narration of this ride? It is much more informative now, but we miss the old guy! DH loves to randomly say "Now approaching...." when we are going places to bring back some Disney magic when we are at home. Now, they no longer say it on the People Mover

Kind of sad for us!
We did the Laugh Floor again and this time it was HILARIOUS! The night crowd was huge and were sitting next to the guy who was asked to get up and dance, and man.... he was READY to GET DOWN!!! They kept coming back to him during the show because it was so funny! I think the person he was with was kind of embarassed! It was great!
We ended the night with Wishes. Sorry, no pics of the fireworks - they never turn out well. But, they have this new laser show before the fireworks and it turns the castle into all of these different colors with cool designs. I thought it was AMAZING! It is a great pre-show for the fireworks!
MK was open until midnight this night, so after the fireworks we decided to ride a few more rides. Another one of DH's favorites is the Jungle Cruise. This is another ride that is totally dependent on how good the guide is. And this time, she was GREAT!!! We had never done this ride at night and we loved it! This ride can be really funny if you have the right guide!
She is actually how I came up with the title of my TR. She saw my b-day pin during the ride and made an announcement. Then she asked if she could sing me happy birthday. I said yes, of course, and she said "This is your birthday song, it isn't very long." And went right back to narrating the ride! We thought it was pretty funny!
We had a wonderful day at MK and a great dinner at Ohana. Ahhh... the memories!
