We are going to wdw tomorrow (16 hours 45 minutes), it's a pretty big deal for us. We went 3 years ago when dd was 4 yo and ds was just a twinkle in dh's eye (ds is 1 yo).

A while back I was worrying about the weather and dh asked dd, "Do you remember it raining in Florida last trip?"

NOPERS! dd remembers swimming, Goofy, swimming, AK, swimming, monorail, swimming, breakfast with Cinderella! I don't think she actually remembers a lot, but we video taped lots and she watchs it often enough that she thinks the video is memory.

But you know what, it doesn't matter what she remembers, the important thing is that she had a really great time (swimming) while the trip was happening!

Our ds is 1 yo, he won't remember ANYTHING, but you should see him hug and kiss TIGGER, it's pretty cool.

We recently watched our '98 trip. My youngest was only 2 1/2. Boy-o-boy, I forgot how cute she was. I used to get upset when people would say to me "oh, she won't remember it". But there is nothing cuter than a little one hugging a character...or the excitement on their face during a ride...or how intent they are watching a show. And I have what those people will never have - the whole thing on videotape!!

It's not only about a child's memories, it's about mommy and daddy enjoying their children, too.
