So many different deals going on lets take stock and get excited!

Okay, originally going from Dec. 20-27th with quick dining service at ASMO...:santa:

Just changed our dates to the 17th through the 26th of Dec. and got the Disney Visa free dining...

what's the value of my deal??:teacher: We are staying 2 extra nights at ASMO than previously planned AND STILL getting a refund of $245!!:cool1:

What kind of deals did YOU get!

Originally planned on staying at Pop Nov. 29-Dec 4 with the regular dining plan. Now I'm staying at POFQ and saving $220!:cheer2:

We used the Disney Visa Free Dining offer and saved $700! We are going to be at CBR from 11/4-11/11 and we went from $3497 to $2783:yay:

I am SO excited but SUPER nervous about getting our ADRs now!

we booked FD back in May on a PIN code...but we have 2 plans:
Plan A: CSR standard view 12/17-27...3 Adults/ 1 jr
10 day hoppers
$3702( need to double check this)
airfare est $850
rental car ( have to have, visiting family too) $360( may be higher may need larger car)

Plan A total: $4910

Plan B: Dolphin lake view ( INCLUDING TAXES/RSORT FEE/PARKING)
12/18-28
$1906
10 day hopper thru UT $1160
realistic food budget $1350
drive down est $500

Plan B total: $4910

go figure, huh? Plan B works better for our dates, Plan A works better for 1 more day ahead of crowds...plan B works better for flexibility, eating offf site if we chooose, eat ANYWHERE really, not restricted to DP, Plan A has a few bonus options, mini golf/water mouse/...Plan B...LOCATION, deluxe vs moderate.... Plan A, no stress of driving/weather ( but we do have 3 drivers)
Plan A...has to be paid for 45 dasy out, penaltY, Plan B...room only deposit can cancel out 6 days no penalty...we need an air mattress either way for DS and Dolphin has a smidge more room, but we have never been to CSR, LOOKS SO NICE.

Plan C...don't go at all and pay off 4900 of college costs, and this MAY be the plan we go with

Wasn't planning on going without a discount of some kind (we were just there for a week in May) but now we're going to POFQ Nov. 6 through Nov. 10 for DH's birthday with free dining! :dance3:

We got FD at WL from 11/30-12/7 and saved $636.56 (we already had dining and had PIF so now we are getting a refund!). :thumbsup2

I'm still on cloud nine from getting FD and that was like... 4 hours ago now.. :rotfl2:

We had the Big Kids at Little Kids Prices and had saved like $250. I switched to FD and saved another $140. So roughly like $400.

12/1-12/7
All Star Music
2 Adults
2 Kids
5 day base tickets

$1660 (roughly)

We could have upgraded to a moderate for like $65, but this was NOT a planned trip. I will be off 12 weeks on maternity leave and wanted to take our 'annual' trip since I am going back to work 1 month before we normally go. The kids like the value's better anyways. :wizard:

So, my dh and I are going 2x:

9/6-9/10: Saved $319.92 (Disney Visa free DDP)
11/24-12/4: Saved $779.80 (Pin Free QSDP - upgraded to DDP)

Total Savings: $1,099.72

Here's where it gets really good, though - we are going as a GG 11/24-12/4:

Us (above)
Family 2: Saved $689.70 (Disney Visa Free QSDP - upgraded to DDP)
Family 3: Saved $779.80 (Pin Free QSDP - upgraded to DDP)
Family 4: Saved $887.70 (Pin Free QSDP - upgraded to DDP)

So that brings the grand total for our group to: $3,456.92 for 2009 :cheer2::cloud9::yay:

Stayed with my original deal

40% 2 bedroom at SSR from 12/5-12/12
4 adults
2 kids
Regular Dining plan
No Park tickets purchased required under military discount

$3850 for 6 of us for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom - Plus the $99 5 day military companion tickets..

AP pass discount or Free Dining would have been much more expensive having to pay full rack rate for the 2 bedroom AND mandatory tickets..

I do believe that Disney is going to have a HUGE price increase in their park tickets come Aug to cover some of these room/dining discounts.

We are going 8/7-8/25. We were originally booked the entire time Rack Rate. Then the 40% Military discount came out. Saved us tons. Then when free dining came out we split our stay into 2 9 night packages. Here is how we are booked now.

8/7-8/15 - 9 nights POP Military Discount
8/16-8/25 - 9 nights POP Free Dining
At which time we decided to not buy AP's and instead also take advantage of the Disney Military tickets.

Woo hoo, I just saved $618. Orginally had POR - King Room for 8 nights/2 adults for $2498. Upgraded to the Deluxe Dinning Plan for only $500 more. Time to start re-planning my meals. I have to book my ADRs on Sunday.

Saved about $1875 for 4A 3C in a 2BR WL villa 11/29-12/5 w/ free dining. It was a better deal for us than the AP rate we could have gotten at Kadani, which would have been in 2 1BRs, Savannah view. Both of those were better than the original 2BR villa at BLT. I was looking forward to BLT but for a nearly $2000 savings I didn't think twice about it!

We were originally booked into Sports for 7 nites @ $49 per night. With the Disney Visa deal we are now at Music (not enough nites at Sports) for 14 nites, including 10 day tickets and QSDP for $1804.36.

I figure I saved a bit over $200 on the plan to do the 7@$49 and 7 more @ $54 with ten day tickets (using two of our one day passes to get them for less) and we had also planned to buy the QSDP for the both of us.

Some might say that we saved $840 by getting the DP free however that does not take into account the fact that we had to pay full price for the 10 day tickets and also had to pay more for the room.

I did note that my figures ala carte were about $26 difference between what the CM said and I thought. No trip insurance or anything extra added and even rounding things up would not account for the difference. :teacher:

Still a good deal and when I pay it off in full before September I will get an additional $75 off from Discover card. Also have a bit over $300 from other cc rewards, and will accumulate more before the trip.

Life is good.

Am I the only one who is deluded enough to think that with all these great offers so early that there might be a bit of something, something more by the time December rolls around?:wizard:

We are staying 6 nights at Pop in Sept with Free Dining. We are ap holders so our room for 2 adults and 1 child with food is a little over $700.00! Not to bad.

Not sure if this was a good deal or not???
Had 7 nights @ pop 10/17-10/24 for 2 adults 2 children under the kids stay, play and dine free. Our tickets were 1 park per day, not parkhoppers for 7 days. Cost was $2000.
But just changed our reservations to Carribean Beach for same time but for 2 adults, 1 jr and 1 child, free dining and 1 park per day tickets for 7 days and it came to $2400. We got to move up to a moderate and changed a child to a jr (turning 10 while we are there and wanted better food).
Was this a smart move? I read where some prices were way lower than ours??? We were using the visa pin offer for free dining.:confused3

We were booked orig at CBR for Oct 6-12 with AAA for 147 a night. Going to buy 5 day MYW Basic tickets, and take in 2 character meals, one being Cinderella's Castle. The total price for that was 1904. When I changed with DV fd, my total price was 1860. Which includes now 4 ADR's, arcade, golf, planet hollywood merchandise/food vouchers, sea raycer vouchers, all our meals....So, I'm thinking we did wayyyy better than at first!

What do ya think?

CBR for 25 Oct 6-12!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I do believe that Disney is going to have a HUGE price increase in their park tickets come Aug to cover some of these room/dining discounts.

Yikes...don't get me worrying about that...we don't have tickets, yet. What do you mean by HUGE?

We, too, stayed with our original ressie which was 30% off a room-only at AKL. It worked out to be a better deal for us.

JoanneNC, I respectfully disagree with the idea that there will be a huge increase in ticket prices. Parks depend on local people to visit, especially in this economy, and most parks in the country have been drastically decreasing their prices or offering special deals on multi day passes. Granted Disney is a different case because of it uniqueness however people just do not have the money right now. Everyone has been affected, either by loss of job, hours cut, increasing prices, or as in our case lowered investment results and everyone is watching their pennies at this time.

BTW, can anyone tell me if DW has ever adjusted the prices upward after you have booked a trip, paid your deposit but have not paid the balance yet? I plan to use my Discover card before September as they are offering 5% cash back on gas and vacation purchases and can do so sooner to avoid additional charges. Thank you so much.

family of 4 CSRw/DDand MYWPH tickets=3,100 1 week
wanted to upgrade to BC standard=4,200(waiting to see about deals)
given 2 wks @ OKW 2bdr villa

Now paying for 1,000.00 for food
and 1,400.00 for ticket w/ park hopper

2,400.00 for a 2wk stay in a 2br. villa actual price would have been 10,000.00 (not that I would have ever stayed for 2 wks. in a2 br. villa)

11/25- 12/2 At CSR with free dining 2 adults 1 child total -$1997 We added a night to our ressie and cancelled the offsite hotel we had for that night. Total savings worked out to $447
