DS is home from school. He's worked hard this week and has finished the volumes of homework this new school sets.

So, as a reward, he's getting some electronic time.

I was thinking about it....he's not been on the square screens as much since we've started school. That's a good sign.
But it just means that he's been working on homework and music practise.

3.5 more weeks of school and then it's Easter holiday time.

How was the lunch with friends? Or was that yesterday?

Lunch with the neighbours was great. They moved in over a year ago and finally got round to having us over and us having them over today. Turns out that they used to be minor celebrities in the '60s and '70s. The wife used to be a model and she was on an Australian night time entertainment show as one of the "girls". The pictures of her modelling days are displayed in their homes and she was really stunning (still is).

The husband used to be a radio presenter and used to do voice-over announcements on various TV shows in the 70's and 80's. As a radio presenter, he's still remembered by some of the older folks in Melbourne.

I cooked noodles and plied them with wine. They loosened up enough to talk about some of their celebrity friends. It was an absolute hoot!

Were you in the terminal? Or are you sailing and not telling? You cant let the ship leave without me. I would love to have been there. But you took me farther than I would be able to get. Your hired!

You see the circular tower near the front of the ship? That is a viewing platform for the public.

The Overseas Passenger Terminal blocks off access to a significant part of the building but on both sides the terminal is flanked by fancy restaurants. Including Quay (which is in the top 10 of the best restaurants in the world) at which I have dined. So there is only so much they can do.

From that view I could see very close to the ship.

The public access around the ship is amazing. Rather than a dock blocked to anyone without a ticket or work ID jutting into the harbor.
