And the Symphony of Lights. It's very very average "show" but I can imagine you taking LOTS of photos from that.

That's part of the appeal of the Crystal Cabin. Assuming it is running similarly without a PACKED car...you can move around to look and take photos. You'd likely get a car to yourselves

The Cable Car is under refurb. Been closed since early Feb....for 2 months. I may be taking the bus to the Big Buddha instead.

I'll be taking my tripod; so I'll be setting up for the SoL. Hoping to have at least two opportunities to shoot it. Don't care about the 'show' aspect as long as the buildings are lit up like Christmas trees in multi colours.

The best I hope for is good coffee in places like that. I usually just go with tea....afterall, they pour hot water into a pot and hand me the tea bag. How could anyone go wrong with that?

The Cafe is a lovely home style food. Aussie/Western Food

As it was going to be an ADDITIONAL drive of about 15mins to them driving to the shopping centre between it and them I went there.

The shopping centre has AWESOME cafes too.
But noooooo...
They wanted Malaysian...
Was really bland...and for me...that's saying something

DH and I could (we do like a good 6 - 8 hour bushwalk, by the way)....but I don't think my parents would and DS would just whine the whole way.

Maybe we can meet them up the top.

I also just ordered a two pound bucket of modeling chocolate I couldn't find any locally and the 2lb bucket was $17, which was cheaper than ordering two bricks, which worked out to be just over a pound and a half for $20. I also ordered some gold luster dust, as I'm going to be making a Tinkerbell cake for a friend of mine this summer and figured I may as well order it now so I can get some practice working with it.
