1) The rate you quoted sounds like the discount that WDW is offering at the moment: $100 off deluxe room rate per night.

2) The BC is a really nice place...you might enjoy it there! Many here within this thread have a favorite between the YC & the BC for their own individual reasons, yet the bottomline is still the same for both resorts: the close proximity to 2 parks either by boat or by walking, the amenities within both resorts are the same and, equal access to StormAlong Bay and Beaches & Cream! :D The only difference is that the theming for both resorts are different.

I know you'll have a great time there! :) :) :) :) :)

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YC RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone stayed in a room at the YC. with a "Murphy Bed"? Does anyone know where it is? Is it smaller than a regular room ? Is it attached to a suite ? Does it have a balcony?
Thanks in advance?

Joe used to have floor plans for each resort and they noted the different bed arrangements in specific rooms. They were in the first few pages of this thread.

I have stayed at the BC in a room w/ a king size bed. Actually, the bed was down the entire stay, and the room felt very roomy. Tthis was just a standard sized room that they could use as an ajoining "parlor" to a connected room (hence the murphy bed).

A little bonus for us was that there was a bar and sink built into one wall. We didn't use it for making drinks, but it was the perfect place for changing the baby!

I will admit the bed looked a little goofy at first, because it kind of stands away from the wall, but we were very comfortable in that room.

Hope this help! Nicole

Has anyone been to the BC Concierge since the renovation?
Is it completed?
How does it compare to the YC?
What floor is it on?
Does the BC Villas construction effect the atmosphere?
Any room we should request?

Thanks in advance!

Oops, that looked stupid!

My previous post (two posts back) about staying in a king bed room at the BC was about a King MURPHY bed.

Sorry about the confusion, and I hope that answers EGOLIAKs question!

Great pictures of room configurations early in thread. Is the construction done? Any noise?

Does the Beach Club have a food court? Does it have food carts along the beach like the Boardwalk?

No food court, no food carts. At the pool there is a burger counter and at Beaches and Cream they offer carry-out w/pastries, bagels and the like.

The boardwalk is just a short stroll away, though!

I keep missing the Yacht Club/Beach Club show on Travel Channel ? Does anyone know when its going to be on again ? thanks so much

Matt

Nothing has been listed yet...the only thing listed WDW-wise is the Grand Floridian, showing on April 30th @ 11:30am.

I was thinking about the Yacht Club and I was wondering what is in the mini bar? How much do they charge for things.

Thanks,

Has anyone stayed in the BC for under $200 per night? That's the rate I'm looking for in Sept.

I stayed at the BC last yr and the only thing that disappointed me was the availability of a quick bite to eat. There is no where to go at 7 or 8pm when you have the munchies. Of course I didn't stumble onto the boardwalk pizza place until the last day.

I loved the atmosphere at the BC. Should I try the YC? Are they about the same? Can YC guests use the BC pool too?

Denman, I stayed at the YC for $169 per night plus tax last August. The atmosphere there is not much different, the decor is more formal, which gives it a slightly different feel. We thought the YC had been kept up better. The pool is actually for both resorts, so you can use it staying at either place.

Wow elgerber, that's a great rate. How did you manage to pull it off? The best I could get right now is $225 for sept...that's the AP rate.

Since I have a DD3, I think I will stay with the BC. The character breakfast at the Cafe was great too.

when making ressies for the past january, i was quoted an AP rate of $184/night, which included tax.

My rate was the same, $184 a night with tax, I believe that worked out to $169. Mine was not an AP rate though, they were just offering some amazing rates at the end of last summer.

We just got back and had a great time. Did not notice any construction noise but we were on the other side. The suggestions at the beginning of this thread for making room requests worked great. The phone call on the day we arrived was key. We got everything we requested.

Joe Help
I booked the Discovery Magic pkg for 3 nites in July. My daughters b-day. Taking her and 3 friends and another friend. Getting connecting rooms in Concierge.

I have scoured and scoured this post and can't find anything that says which rooms are connecting. Do you in all your infinite wisdom know?

Also, do u have the email address for BC Concierge?

Thanks
Michelle
