This is Literally The Best Trip Ever! *Complete 11-10*

oh my gosh--this seriously does look like the best trip ever! you all look like you are having such a great time!

I was so excited to see that you did pick a pearl! I didn't know about it until after our last trip, but we are so doing it this time. I think it'll be a fun souvenir for the girls. I saw some cute little pearl cages shaped like Cinderella's carriage that I might get them.

I love the kissing picture in france and charlotte looking at you like "what are you doing?" too bad the other pictures didn't show up, that's a bummer! and charlotte in the phone booth is too cute! she looks so little!

I absolutely ADORE the outfit you made for charlotte for the HDDMR! it is so cute and looks totally precious on her! and it looks like you all had such an awesome time! love the picture with the chicken and the washboard! I've never considered doing the HDDMR, but it looks like such fun! it'll have to go on the future to do list.

can't wait for more!

Yay!:yay: I am glad to have you along! It is really fun to read along with someone else's TR. I have learned so much from reading about other people's experiences!
Oh me too! Our first trip would have been a disaster if I hadn't have found the DIS and started reading TRs!

Great updates. Your World Showcase time looked so fun. I love that part of Epcot.

And HDDR sounds like a blast! I have never really considered doing any of the dinner shows, but I think we should probably try one or two next time we go - whenever that might be.

Ooh, you saw Jasmine! We missed her!

I like your Epcot pic. Our pictures in front of Spaceship Earth were lost by PP+! Grrrr....

I would like to do HDDR some day!

Pick a pearl was really fun and I highly recommend it! The settings are kind of expensive so I don't think it would be a bad idea to get them ahead of time especially for kids.

Thank you! I never really considered the HDDMR before, but it was awesome! Put it on your to-do list for next time!

We did have a good time in WS even, DD!

I never really thought about the HDDMR either, but I highly recommend it! We had such a good time!

We actually saw Jasmine twice! We missed lots of other princesses though!

I hate that they lose PP pics, they lost another set the next day too, so annoying!

DO IT! It is awesome!

Before I start with my TR post I would like to explain my absence recently here on the Dis. My DD and DH were in wedding last weekend and I made DD's dress for the event:
069.JPG

I am happy to report that DD did an AMAZING job, she walked right down the aisle like a pro! She did too good though, because suddenly I had images of her walking down that aisle as a bride and I spent her whole walking crying! :rotfl: She is growing up way to fast!

This is also homecoming week for DH's school. Since DH is STUCO sponsor he is in charge of the whole thing. I also make all the sashes for the court. On top of all that DD got her first ever fever this week! She evidently picked up a virus somewhere, so while my DH is gone 13 hours a day this week DD has her first non-cold illness of her life! YUCK!

But, tomorrow is Friday which means homecoming week is almost over, the sashes are finished and DD seems to be feeling much better, so, I have almost survived this crazy week!:woohoo: Thanks for hanging in there with me! If I am reading your TR or PTR I will catch up soon, I promise!

And now on to the TR!

Day 5
Monday, July 29

Today was a full rest day, we had two ADRs at the Poly so we had no monorails, no buses, just hanging around soaking up the beauty that is the Poly!

I got up around 9:00 am and DH got up around 9:30. We got ready but wanted to wait until the very last second to get DD up since she had not been getting her normal amount of rest this trip. We got her up at 9:50 and started getting her ready. We were out the door by 10:05. Charlotte was a little crabby because we really did not give her enough time to wake up, but I knew once we got to breakfast she would perk up! We had a 10:20 ADR at 'Ohana, we checked in about 10:10 and got in line and took our picture. This picture did not show up on our PP either, but I am not upset about it because it was awful! Charlotte was still not happy, and I was trying to get her to smile when they took the picture. I was really upset about how horrible this picture turned out! I made DD a great dress and myself a matching skirt. I really wanted this to be a great photo, but it was not good, awful really!

Shortly after our terrible photo shoot our pager went off and we were headed into the restaurant. You may or may not remember that we are a family of Stitch lovers, we are serious Stitch fans! My DH used to hate Disney animated movies but after seeing Lilo and Stitch he totally changed his mind. We even used to DVR the old cartoon series that came on Disney Jr at 3:30 am! We watch some type of Lilo thing everyday! So, I knew this breakfast would be a hit! As soon as we walked in to the restaurant we saw Stitch. The crabby toddler who would not smile for the photo 10 minutes ago became a starstruck super fan! She smiled and said "Stitch, momma STITCH!" of course Stitch had to give a quick hello to his biggest fan!
Then DD turned around and saw Lilo and she screamed again! It was so cute!

At this point we were ready for a great meal! We sat at a table near the aisle.

DD sat in her booster seat and started patiently waiting her turn to meet her favorite characters! Pluto stopped by first :
240.JPG

Despite having loved Pluto the day before she was not really all that interested in him today, she had bigger stars to meet I guess...

After Pluto our food came. All I can say is WOW! I am not sure what they do to those eggs, but they were the best scrambled eggs I have ever had in my life, so good! The potatoes, juice, and sausage were great as well! DD liked the Mickey waffles a lot and the eggs, and DH could not get enough of the sausage.
While we were eating Hawaiian Mickey stopped by:
244.JPG

And shortly after Mickey, Stitch stopped by. DD jumped out of her chair and ran to him!

After Stitch it was impossible to get Charlotte to eat anymore, she was just too excited! Then, Lilo came by. Lilo liked Charlotte's dress and hair bow!

Charlotte was too starstruck to turn around :rotfl:

IMG_0883.JPG

Just about the time we finished eating the parade started. DH took DD up to participate in it.
255.JPG

I wanted to take more pictures but it was such a special moment I just wanted to live in the moment. DD loved it!
After the parade, someone stopped back by:

Charlotte thought this was hilarious!

252.JPG

That is some serious love there!

Then Lilo came back by:

It was a great meal. Once again I am so glad we had a late reservation. I really felt like we got lots of attention because there were not many people left in the restaurant at this point. We paid the bill and went back to our room to change into our swimming suits.

If you read the my PTR you would know that in all the times I have been to WDW I never took the time to get in a pool! Well, we fixed that this time, that was the only thing on the agenda for this afternoon! After our quick change we were headed to the pool. DD loves swimming so she was pretty excited. I had read on here that the pools offered free life jackets which DD would defiantly need so we located those first. Then, we found a table and set down all of our stuff. I know lots of people complain about this pool being crowded and lots of people "pool-hop" to the Poly, but I have no complaints. We got to the pool around 11:30 and we easily located an empty table and had plenty of space to swim and splash around. It was great!
264.JPG

We swam for about two hours and were a little hungry again. So I walked up to Captain Cooks to get a QS meal for us to split. We got an Adult Grilled Cheese with poly chips and a Minnie Mouse cupcake for me, a Dole whip for DD and DH. We used snack credits for the dole whips. It was so good! If I would have known how fantastic this QS location was I don't know if I would have gone with the DDxDP. The food was so great here! Oh, and I actually took a pic of the Minnie Mouse Cupcake:
269.JPG

This was so good! It was chocolate cake, with chocolate mouse and frosting on top of that! AMAZING and it was half melted by the time I got to eat and it was still super good! If you see these, try one! I could not finish it though, it was so rich. After our lunch we decided to take naps.

Stick around to see how the rest of the day went!

After a long nap DH and I got up around 5:00, and Charlotte finally got up around 6:00. We were headed back to 'Ohana for dinner! We changed got ready and left around 7:00. As we were walking to the GCH, I could tell DD was in a feisty mood, but I hoped she would perk up before we ate. We checked in at the podium and waited a few minutes before our pager went off. We were seated across the restaurant from where we were this morning. Dinner started off good:
282.JPG

Charlotte really liked the bread there!

Our server was pretty nice but he said the exact same things to every table. He was very rehearsed. As soon as we started eating our salad DD started acting out. She was mad because Stitch was not there like he was a breakfast. I took DD out to the lobby to get her to settle down. I thought we were good, so we went back in the restaurant. She was well behaved exactly long enough for me to serve us some noodles, veggies and pot stickers. This time DH took her out for a cool down. She came back seemed fine until I suggested she eat and again with another meltdown. So, back out we went. Finally, after the third time she came back in and ate her dinner. This was a low point for us. But, after having days of interrupted schedule and lack of sleep I guess this is to be expected. While our meal was not enjoyable, it was not because of the food, it was fantastic as always. In my opinion the veggies are the best thing there, I seriously like them better than the meat!

With full bellies and a two year old finally in a better mood we headed out to explore the Poly a little more. We looked in the shops and took some pictures:
288.JPG

295.JPG

For some reason DD thought it was appropriate to take her shoes off. Don't worry as soon as I realized this I made her put them back on!

DH who loves Hawaiian shirts found one that he really liked in Botiki. I was high on the Disney bubble and told him to buy it so he came home with this little number:
432.JPG

That is a picture from later in our trip when he was wearing it. You can't really see in the picture but mixed in with the flowers is beach scenes featuring Mickey and Donald.
Its dorky and kind of tacky but DH loves it, and so do I! It is totally him, fun in a dorky way. After DH purchased his shirt we headed out to the beach to catch the fireworks. We had seen bits and pieces of wishes all week, but we never caught the whole thing. So we were excited to do this. We went to a very empty area of the beach in front of our longhouse and just as we stepped off the sidewalk, DD tripped and skinned both knees. There was also sand all over the sidewalk right there so she got sand in her skinned knees. She was pretty upset! So while DH held the swing for us I took DD to our room and cleaned her knees up. When we came back outside and DD looked up in the sky, she was over the knee thing and excited to see the fireworks! This was such an awesome perk of staying at the Poly! We loved it. I know I have heard people complaining about the beaches being too crowded during the fireworks, but once again I have no complaints. In fact the whole time we were at the poly I felt like we were the only guests there, it was very private and peaceful! Anyway, after the fireworks were over I took DD back to our room to put her to bed. DH went out to get a treat for me that I have been dying to try!
IMG_0715.JPG

A lapu lapu! I love fruity tropical drinks and this one was fantastic! However, it is quite strong and DH had to finish it for me. After that we were ready to head to bed. We had an overall good day and another busy one ahead of us!

Charlotte looks adorable in her "wedding" dress! i'm glad she's feeling better and that you've survived your crazy week.

LOVE all the stitch pictures! looks like you had a great time and it makes me super excited for our breakfast there!

the picture of Charlotte with the whole loaf of bread is so cute! she must have really liked it! ;) and I like the barefoot picture in front of the surf board. I don't blame her for not wanting to wear her shoes...I go barefoot whenever I can get away with it too! :thumbsup2 besides, when you're a cute toddler, you can get away with that stuff!

DH made a good choice on the shirt! you can't go wrong with a Hawaiian shirt, especially a Mickey one!

you all had a great day off! can't wait to see what's next!

Ahh, a rest day. The Disney dream that continues to elude me. :lmao:

I love Lilo and Stitch too! May have to do that breakfast some time.

DH really wants to stay at the Poly. Your report is making me consider it!

Wonderful updates!!! What an awesome non-park day. I have GOT to learn to do that - I think we would have a much better trip if we learned to take break days.

Your 'Ohana breakfast sounded great, and I love the pics of Charlotte with Stitch and Lilo - you can just see how much she loves them. :lovestruc

How awesome to get to see the fireworks from the Poly beach. :cloud9:

Hi, loving your report. We walked around the Poly when we went there for breakfast at O'hanas. Beautiful resort!! We walked there from the TTC so can only imagine how quick and easy it was to get to MK from the monorail.

Looking forward to the rest of your report. :)

Joining in!!!! :wave2:

I just finished your PTR and cannot wait to catch up in the TR. I plan to sit down with it once I get my tea made. (Obviously I live a very exciting Saturday night life!)

Catching up! Loving it so far!

I think i missed that you switched to poly. It looks beautiful and so convenient!

Dd slept until 10 wow! DS was up at 4, yes 4 am, the first morning, shouting "cars!" "Cars!!!!" (We were in the cars room). I made him stay in bed until 6 but didn't get any more sleep. At least adrenaline carried me through the day!

Liberty tavern sounds great! I may have to add it to our list!

Oh the stroller. The only way we could get DS in the stroller was to tell him we were going to the bus (he loved the buses!)

DH totally would have bought the popcorn if DH asked. Ahhhh is right

We always ended up back at the resort earlier than planned but that was for the best!

I do love the tree if life! I was a little disappointed in our Pp photos because the tree is coming out of DH's head in every one!

The self potty training thing is amazing (ahem battling that right now)

I love what you said about a Disney trip helping you know your family better. DH and I kept saying we just felt more in synch after or trip!

I love Charlotte's outfit! I still need to catch up on 4 and 5 but that will have to wait until tomorrow so instead of lurking I wanted to drop you a note and say hi :wave2:

Thank you I am so glad this week is over!

You will LOVE your breakfast there, it was wonderful! It is a must do for us!

She really did love that bread! I love to go barefoot also! DD totally gets that from me, my mom yells at me all the time, "get some shoes on that kid!" I usually make her put them on when we are out in public, but she slipped by me shoeless!

DH wears that shirt as much as he can, he even wore it to school for ugly sweater day!

I highly recommend a rest day, it really made our trip more relaxing!

You should build in a rest day. It was the first time we ever did and it was lovely!

The Lilo and Stitch breakfast was awesome, you should do it! The food was fantastic.

I can not say enough good stuff about the Poly! We had such a wonderful trip and the Poly was a big part of that! My DH used to be so/so about Disney trips, but the Poly totally changed his mind.

The rest day really made our trip better! I have never done that before but it made huge difference! I really recommend doing it.

The fireworks from the beach was really awesome! Made the perfect end to our great day!

Thanks for dropping in! :wave2:
The poly was the best! Before this trip DH liked Disney trips because he liked to see me happy, but, he loved it there so much now he can't wait to go back!

My DD has always liked her sleep even when she was a little baby. She is a night owl like we are. But, she requires 10-11 hours a night and a 2-3 hour nap. Any less than that and she is crabby!

We enjoyed LTT the food was good and the themeing was cute!

What makes a man think popcorn on the way into an ADR is a good idea? I still get annoyed thinking about that!

Once we got DD in the stroller she really liked it but at first it was a battle! DD hated the buses but she loved the monorail! We we left I told her it would be her last monorail ride and she held on the pole and screamed "NOOOOOOOO!"

We always get my favorite pics in front of the tree of life even though it is my least favorite park! Those tall DH's can get some funny PP pics. One time we took a pic in front of the big hat in Hollywood Studios and it looked like DH was wearing the hat! :rotfl:

DD has loved going on the potty since our trip, it was pretty awesome! But everyone says girls are easier to train, so that could be part of it!

I love Disney for so many reasons, but you are right! Its really a bonding experience you can not get anywhere else!

Thanks for reading! I am glad to have you along.
