This is Literally The Best Trip Ever! *Complete 11-10*

Whoa! That was a lot of updates!!! I hope I don't miss anything. You are killing me here!!! :rotfl2:

Your H&V breakfast looked like a lot of fun. We have never done it, although I have booked it before (and later canceled). When DD was young enough to be into it, she wasn't watching TV, so she never knew Little Einsteins and such. And now that she is allowed to watch TV more regularly (as opposed to just weekend movie nights), she does love Jake and Sophia, but she has all of a sudden grown up into these Disney sitcoms like Good Luck Charlie, Dog with a Blog, Jessie. How did this happen???? I seriously missed a window there. :confused3

I'm sorry your DHS day didn't really go as you had hoped. As you will see VERY soon on my TR, we had a similar DHS day. :( Sometimes, it just happens. It looked like Charlotte had a lot of fun at the HISTK playground - I hate all WDW playgrounds because I am always losing sight of my child and it freaks me out! :rotfl2:

Okay - I know I probably missed a lot. Sorry - my memory is failing me as I age rapidly.....

Sorry, once I get in the groove of updating its hard to stop myself! :rotfl:

I was really on the fence with H&V. Charlotte likes some of the Disney Jr shows, but mostly watches movies, so I don't know how much she really recognized the characters, but she was excited to meet them. Not sure we will do it again but we do have some great memories!

There must be something in HS that makes kids go crazy! I have read so many TR where the HS was a total mess! ::yes:: Still love it though!

We stayed really close to Charlotte, but I know that gets harder as kids get older. I can totally see where it freak you out!

I think you hit most of the highlights. As long as you got the idea that Charlotte was a crabby mess, that pretty much sums up our day! :rotfl:

You know, our last trip before this one, DHS was Willow's favorite park, so I was soooo not expecting the way it went down this year. :rotfl2:

I think if I had two adults, I wouldn't mind the playgrounds at Disney so much. But with just me and DD, :scared1: - it is just too hard to keep track of where she is! Now that she's older, I guess I wouldn't worry so much, but when she was little, ugh.....

I just wanted to take a second and do a "Real Life" update!

Last weekend Disney On Ice 100 Years of Magic came to our to town and DH took DD and I. I have to say this was a great show! If it comes to your hometown it is totally worth it! It is really like being in Disney world for a few hours! My two year old sat with her eyes on the ice the entire time! Of course I did not get any pics of the show because that two year old was on my lap. (We did get her a seat but she wanted to sit on my lap).
I told DD I would make her an outfit for the show with any character she would like and of course she picked Stitch!
Here are some pics of DD:

DD handed her ticket to the ticket lady all by herself!

Charlotte got a snowcone in a Cinderella Cup!

My DH is a HUGE St. Louis Cardinals fan, I mean he loves his home team so much! He didn't tell me this until we were leaving Disney On Ice, but his Uncle had given him tickets to the game that night, but he took us to Disney on Ice and skipped the game! That was nice, but what makes that even more amazing is that the Cardinals beat the Cubs, and made it into the playoffs that night. He could have seen this really important game and instead went with us! He's a keeper!

We also went to the Zoo this week and got a dole whip. So I have had a bit of a Disney fix, which will hold me over for a little bit! ;);)

******************************************************************************************************************

So if you read my PTR you know that I am a bit of an OCD planner! Well, I am actually an insane OCD planner!

I have been think a lot about our next trip in July 2015! The reason why we are planning for July 2015 is because this June, my brother is getting married in Denver and we will spend most of our vacation $$ on that trip. Also, next time we want to go for a longer time so having two years to save is ideal.

But, that doesn't stop me from planning right?:rotfl:
So, I have been thinking a lot about our plans for that trip. We LOVED the Poly, it was amazing, and we just assumed we would stay there again. But, I got to thinking like I always do... We really Loved the atmosphere at Ft. Wilderness when we went to the HDDMR and thought it looked like such a relaxing place! Almost like a vacation within a vacation. So, now we are planning 10 nights 11 days at the Ft. Wilderness cabins at the end of July 2015! :cool1: My DH LOVES nature and camping and I do not camp, so this will be fun for both of us. My Disney and his nature. I also love the idea of the cabin because I like that DD can go to bed and we can stay up and watch TV, etc. The next time we go we are driving so transportation to the parks is not an issue like it was on our last trip when we flew. Plus DH can not wait to rent a golf cart! Having a kitchen will be a big bonus so that we can cook some meals at our cabin. Plus our beloved Poly will still be under construction at that time, so I think this plan is better all the way around.
I am super excited about this trip. We will have 3 MK days, 2 EPCOT, 1 AK 1 HS and 2 full resort days (when we drive I don't plan anything for the day we arrive or leave).

So how soon is too soon to start a PTR? I realized the other day I only have 1 1/2 days left on my TR and I am going to miss writing these. I may go ahead and start my PTR right after the holidays! :rotfl: I can fill a year and half up with all my random thoughts right? We'll see! Either way we are pretty excited! Last time we changed resorts 5 times... DH predicts six this time! I am predicting none because as of right now I like our plan! And after all this past time was the first time I ever changed resorts at all!

Do any of you have experience with the FW cabins? What do you all think?

I will be back soon with another TR update!:wave2:

Fort Wilderness sounds great!

I think you should write PTR after this. I will follow a long!

I agree. I will follow along to your PTR. And I'm anxiously awaiting your next update in this report. Your daughter is adorable. Love the stitch outfit you made her. My DS and DD love Stitch! Still remember the dance party a few years ago in MK with Stitch. We just happened upon it, Stitch was so fun!

The Disney on Ice shows are so fun! I'm glad y'all enjoyed it. :thumbsup2

I bet the Cabins will be a great place to stay! How fun!!!

Loving your report, Charlotte is very cute and I love all the outfits you've made her :goodvibes

Your trip report is so much fun. I love all of the outfits that you made for your DD. So cute! Poly has always been my dream resort, but I just can't justify the cost, I like to go more often and spend less.:rolleyes1
I think the cabins look like a great option for your family. I have never stayed at FW, but having the extra space would be great for your family. I have rented points for DVC on several occasions and when I stayed at WLV I rented and rode a bike around FW one day. What a beautiful location, understated WDW is how I perceived the resort.
Can't wait to read more about your trip!

Oh, we almost went to Disney on ice last weekend. We had discount coupons from Maddie's preschool even, but we went in the spring so we decided not to do this one. Im glad Charlotte liked it. Our girls always love it-it's always so cute! I have video on my phone from when we went and you can hear Madison in the background yelling "Merida! Merida! Merida!" She always leaves wanting to learn to skate. I always think that one of these times I'm going to break the bank and get those seats right down by the ice.

And how sweet of your DH to skip the game to go with you. We're not big sports fans at our house but even we know that was a big game. He is a keeper!

I totally agree with everyone else about starting your next PTR! I thought I was starting mine too early, but now I'm glad I did. It's so nice to be able to share and get opinions from people who understand the crazy in your head! I'll follow along whenever you start it!

I think Ft Wilderness will be good for us! I think I will start my PTR when I get finished. I am glad to know I will have followers, I really like writing these!

Oh Thank you! I feel loved:hug:
I am really looking forward to my new PTR! I am sure I will have lots of movie nights, outfits and other fun stuff to share, so I am going to start it early!:yay: I have been putting off updates because I will miss the fun of writing, so I think that means I have to start my PTR

We watched the dance party too! You will hear all about it in my next update. Which will be coming very soon!

Thanks! I remember going to Disney on Ice as a kid and LOVING it. I had just as much fun going as an adult as I did when I was a kid.

I am really excited about our plan to stay in the cabins! I think it will be great. I will go into more detail about our reasoning when I start my PTR.

Oh Thank you! I love making Disney inspired outfits for my DD!

I just went back and read your Mom's panel training TR and it sounds like an amazing experience!

Thanks so much for reading along!

You know the Poly was a dream come true, but I really think having more space to spread out is a better way to go next time. We really wished we had more time and I just don't think we could spend more than 7 nights in one room. We need a little bit more space. We were very impressed with the Fort while we were there. Before going to the HDDMR I would never had considered it, but we were so impressed. I CAN. NOT. WAIT!

My DH's school gave out discount coupons and that was what made us decide to go. My DH has wanted to take DD ever since she was born. He loves going to do stuff like that. I think those seats down by the ice would be so awesome! Have you been to anything at Chaifetz yet? That was where Disney on Ice was, and it is awesome! It is very small so you can see very well from every seat even the way up high ones! We were like five rows from the top but we could see everything and really felt like we were part of everything!

I am not a sports fan either, but I married one! When I met Bob his apartment was totally decorated with Cardinals stuff. He had a life-size poster of some player in his kitchen :rotfl:. I don't really watch sports but I do enjoy it when we are on a winning streak and I always hope we win the series! That game was a huge deal and I am so amazed he missed it for us!

I am so glad I have so much for starting a PTR early! I was really getting sad that my current TR is almost over, but starting my PTR will totally fill that void! Plus my DH gets sick of hearing me talk about our plans and all the Disney craziness that goes on in my head!

no, we've never been to chaifetz. we've only seen Disney on ice at Scottrade. I always wonder who the people are who get to sit right by the ice. those seats are crazy expensive, but I guess if it was a special occasion or something, i'd probably try to justify the price! :rotfl:

i'm sort of the same way with sports. at least I understand baseball and it's pretty hard not to get excited when you're out and the whole city is dressed in their cardinal red. how funny to have a lifesize cardinal in the kitchen!

seriously--we should just get together sometime! the girls can play and we can talk Disney and save our DH's from our craziness! :lmao:

Just stumbled upon your TR and when I saw you're a fellow St. Louisian I had to read! Always nice seeing someone from your area! I see your DH is a big Cards fan... and so are we! Tonight we just had to buy tickets for Game 5 on Wednesday! Go Cards!

Sounds like you guys have had a great time so far... even with the lovely 2 year old moments! It reminds me A LOT of our last trip in April. Our youngest DD was a month shy of two and our trip was full of tantrum after tantrum after tantrum. While we were in the moment it seemed like the worst vacation ever, but then we got home and realized that it really wasn't so bad. We really did have a great time... and I quickly had to plan another trip ASAP! So we'll be back in May with my in-laws in tow this time! They were with us on our first trip to WDW and many times I wished we were there by ourselves, but after experiencing it we realized that maybe those extra set of hands were better to have than not have! But DH and I WILL get our date night this time around :)

Can't wait to read the rest of your adventures!

Yeah October seems to be Cardinals month huh? My DH just got back from tonight's game and he is on a "Cardinal High".

We should do a dis meet someday, I love talking Disney and people in the "real world" don't always get it!
