This is just crazy...how much is spent on beer???

No. My friend was telling me that she sat down and added up the costs herself for what she and her husband were spending. SHE was complaining to me...I never said anything to her about it, other than I had no idea beer costs that amount. She was more complaining that they never really paid any attention to how much was being spent. I was just a listener to her situation.

Well Op i get how it goes...we are not really drinkers but a year or so ago I was trying to figure out where we were hemorraging money from so I got out the statements and lo and behold about 400.00 a month was being "lost" to eating out..it was 20.00 here 40.00 there ...nipped that in the bud. Was it a huge deal no..was it shocking how much it added up YES. Never occured to us it was that much until we added it up..that is something i would discuss with a friend...it is not about not having vices or judging or whatever it is about sticker shock!
