To accept PM's click on "User CP" on the bar, at the top of the page. User CP is on the far left of the bar. Then on the left side of the page when you click you will see "edit options" click that.

Then check the box (scroll down) for accept private messages, and also "accept emails from DIS and DIS members". That means that when a reply is posted to a thread that you started or posted on, or you get a new private message, you will get an email telling you that, and there will be a link in the email taking you to the post or message. Reply and tell me if you understand! We can chat more on this thread when VMK closes, and I'll help you figure everything out!

Go down to the big box that says "Messaging & Notification". There are 3 smaller boxes inside that big box. It says "Private Messaging" on it in the upper left hand side. Check those 3 boxes: Enable Private Messaging, Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages, and Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up.

Then hit the save button at the bottom.

Thanks for all your help, guys! All I knew how to do was to click on the pirate, Ned, the snowmonster, and the dragon to get 20 credits. I had just learned to travel from place to place without accidentally closing the window on myself and having to start over! Now I know how to find a room and how to trade! That was fun!!

Do you see where to go for pm's? In the box top right under "Welcome, bluepinkmonkey", click on "private messages". You should see one from me.
Also I can help you fix your signature, looks like it came out wrong!

put your cursor on my name, there to the left, and in a few seconds a box will open and one of the options will say "send a private message to mtblujeans" and you click on that. It will take you to the private messaging box and my user name will already be filled in. You put something in the subject line, type your message, and hit send. A box will pop up asking if you want a confirmation for your message and you choose yes or no and it will then send the message out.
