So on Saturday I picked up at Best Buy the HBO series From the Earth to the Moon.
It is suppose to be a 5 DVD box set. Reason I say suppose to be is because when I opened it tonight, it was empty!!

ALL the DVD's holders were empty. Not one DVD was there.:mad::mad::mad:

It all looks like it was the original packing.

So what do you think BB chances are that they will believe that ALL the DVDs were missing?

Guess I will find out tomorrow when I take it back...:headache:

I already have the feeling they will accuse me of taking the DVD's out and trying to return it.

Happened to me at Costco once. I just returned it - and they said "it happens sometimes" no problem at all.

hubby bought saw 5 at walmart and there was no disk inside. Didn't bother bringing it back...

Happened to us with a Disney movie we bought at Toys R Us. It was a Christmas gift for DD so we didn't go until a few days later and they gladly exchanged it for a new one.

I bought a VHS movie from Best Buy and unwrapped it to find a Block Buster tape inside.

My son bought a cd at Wal-Mart years ago and it was empty. I was worried they wouldn't believe us when we took it back but there was no problem.

It happens all the time at yard sales. Probably not what you had in mind for a response, but it's a common thing. I have noticed a growing trend of people stealing DVDs from the cases at yard sales. Seriously people... steal a DVD that's a dollar.:sad2:
I was at one recently and was excited to see a VERY new PS2 game that I had been wanting. It was a "just out" game. The lady only wanted a couple bucks for it, and I was really happy. Then when I asked her if she had the game she got pretty fired up. She said both her and her son had double checked all the games that morning to make sure they were all complete. Some lowlife had stolen it.:headache:

DBF just called to ask if I had opened his new DVD and took out the disc because its missing. I laughed because I just saw this thread. He is going to call and let them know it came without a disc.

Definitely happens sometimes! I worked customer service at amazon.com, and it happened. The manufacturing process isn't perfect. Just be glad there wasn't a factory employee who went rogue and put wrong DVDs in there (like what happened with a Disney DVD back in the late 90s, ugh, someone in the DVD recording/burning factory put a very very naughty movie on what looked like the correct DVD), and that all that's wrong is it's missing the DVDs.

I'm sure they'll make good on it, if they know anything at all.

It's happened to me, and I returned to Target without issue.

I don't think the stores expect that people would try and scam them by taking out the DVDs and returning them:confused3 unless there was a history of it with a particular customer.

Not DVD's but CD's that I bought from costco. I returned them without any problem.
