This flooding is crazy . . .

Now I know we've had nothing like Louisiana and Mississippi last year, but we are having weird stuff b/c of the rain. One of our roads south of us is closed on I-88 b/c of a 25 foot "chasm" was created across a four land highway by a creek which already killed to unfortunate truck drivers. Now 120 miles of the NYS thruway is closed from Rotterdam, NY all the way to Syracuse b/c of the floods. Just seems so crazy. I've never heard of that much of the thruway closed before, not even during a blizzard.

How are y'all doing in your neck of the woods?

What is the local TV news station in that area? I would like to see pictures.

I am SO sick of this rain! We have mushrooms growing in our lawn (which BTW is about 2 ft. tall since I can't mow it!) and a pool for the kids that they can't use because it rains every darn day! The rug in my living room is strating to smell musty just from all the moisture in the air and there is nothing I can do about it. Where is summer!

My driveway was wiped out during the May floods in NH and I can't get the darn thing fixed because it won't stop raining!

Here in Central Alabama we can't get any rain. We are in a major drought, I believe we have 11 inches below normal rainfall. Our grass is dying, everyone is watering their lawns to keep their grass alive, I have no desire to water it just so I will have to cut it, Mother Nature is supposed to take care of that. During Summer we normally get a thunder shower almost every afternoon, we get the thunder, but no rain. It's crazy. They will probably ban fireworks this 4th, if they don't, something's going to burn down. We watch the rain keep going north of us on the weather channel. I even tried doing a rain dance the other day, when it was supposed to rain , it didn't work. It seems you either have way too much, or absolutely none.
