Thanks to the great folks on this board, we had a great time at Disneyland!

I told a castmember that asked me "Disneyworld and very much the same and very much different". That probably doesn't make sense but I think it really describes it best. Both have their good points. I do not understand folks being disappointed in DL. We LOVED it!:cloud9:

The only thing that took me by surprise was the size of the castle, but I soon got over it. There were other things that were better than WDW.

Thank you all!

Glad you had a great trip! :)

I'm a DL vet with dozens of trips over several decades. In the past 6 years I've made 4 week long trips to WDW all of which were adults only. Overall I enjoy WDW more but thats because we enjoyed the resorts and non-ride activities aimed more for adults.

But Disneyland is my home park and I'll be visiting this coming weekend for the 11th visit in the past 12 months. They're different experiences and for every minus, each has its share of plusses.

I hope to return to WDW sometime this year. Maybe bring the kids who have been asking too many times to go!

They are both amazing places, aren't they. :)

Gad you had a nice trip!

I have to say that even though I prefer DL to WDW, I sure wish the castle at DL was more like the castle at MK. It's not a big deal really, and a small price to pay for such a superior park, but it sure is a big difference in size.
