This can't be happening again..DS in Lansing

DS is scheduled to fly out of Lansing today to MSP for Thanksgiving.

Last year, he couldn't get out of Lansing because of the ice storm that developed in Lansing area at last minute wed. before Tgiving. Airport was closed down.

Now I see there's another storm in the area. His flight leaves at 7 p.m. tonight out of Lansing. NO, No, NO. Not again.

Anyone else having travel problems today?

herc--I think he should be ok. It's snowing now but not sticking. On the news this morning, they said it shouldn't start sticking till this evening--and even then it will only be 1-3".

I'll keep my fingers crossed that he gets out of here ok!

We're supposed to go to my sister's in the Detroit area. I'm hoping the snow slows down a bit by tomorrow--if not, I always buy a turkey so we won't be stuck eating hot dogs for Thanksgiving dinner if the weather's bad.

I heard an Alberta Clipper was coming on down to the Great Lakes area. Hope you get to your sisters tomorrow. Maybe it'll have passed thru by then.

My sister lives in Kalamazoo and was planning on leaving tomorrow morning to come home. (If she came tonight, it would take her 3x's as long, given Chicago and holiday traffic!) But with the snow forcasted around the Indiana/Michigan border estimated to be between6-12 inches...I think she might just be staying home.

One of my sons arrived this morning, from California. The other one is driving home this afternoon (from across the state, so no fear of snow!). Neither one has been home since August, so we are VERY excited!

Glad DS didn't decide to drive home! My hair would be white by now!

Tornadoes one week, snow the next!. Never a dull moment!
