This BCV Waitlist is going to be the death of me

We went on the waitlist for a new contract at Beach Club (150 points) for about three weeks now. We are not DVC members. Use year doesn't matter

I seriously check my online credit card statement daily to see if it was charged 500. Calling the guide weekly. peruse the sales pending to see if they will not pass ROFR.

My husband keeps saying "Calm down, Veruca"
(Veruca Salt "Daddy I want it now! from Charlie and Chocolate Factory)


Are my expectations way too high here..should I be settling in for a long 6 month wait or what?

Please help! I'm way to high strung

I'm waiting to buy at Beach Club also, we are waitlisted for 200 pts. Use year doesn't matter to us either.

I can't imagine how I am going to make it three more weeks or longer. It was tough enough to get through today. We just put ourselves on the waitlist this morning

We went on the waitlist for BCV on March 31, 150-200 points, any use year. We got the call from our Guide on April 25th that they had our points for us. So the wait was less than a month, which was longer than I would have wanted but much shorter than I expected. Hopefully your points will come through soon.

We went on the waitlist for 60 BCV points with a December use year since that is the use year all our other points have. We got on the list April 14th and I already feel like i've been on for a year! It is killing me, I want my points!

Be very patient. Your best bet is if you do not request a specific use year. Several weeks back they had some April points and one other month. I have talked to someone who has been on the waitlsit for a year. So if you want a specific use month then you need to be prepared to wait.

I was listed for Feb points on April 10th and got the call on April 27th for 210 BCV points.

I guess I was lucky considering all the other replies of waiting

I'm on the waitlist, too. I'm waiting for 180 BCV, and though I didn't care about a certain use year, my guide told me I should request Feb. or Dec. I told him several times I wasn't particular, but he seemed to think that I should specify.

$89 for BCV would easily Pass ROFR. But to make this contract worth it to a Buyer it would have to be accepted at around $80 and that would not pass.

$89 for BCV would easily Pass ROFR. But to make this contract worth it to a Buyer it would have to be accepted at around $80 and that would not pass.

Maybe I am missing something, but...

I thought the current price for members to buy more points was $98. Why would Disney ever NOT exercise ROFR for someone trying to buy for $89? If they exercised ROFR and then sold the points to those on the wailist for $98 they would be getting $9 more per point, why would they ever not do this? Help me understand!

It must not be profitable since they do not buy back all contracts that are less than 92 or 98. They have costs as well for doing resale (albeit internal costs).
