This annoys me - Discounts available on Travelocity

Does anyone know what the cancellation policy is with Travleocity?

Yay, I just booked through travelocity and am getting a WL courtyard view in May for $229.73 plus tax! That is about 30% discount!!!

:cool1:

Is there a cancellation policy with Travelocity? I was always under the impression with wholesalers like that is you paid for it and it is yours, whether you are there aor not.

Don't know about the cancellation policy with Travelocity but I just booked Poly for mid May with the spring discount and their cancellation policy is 4 days out I believe and they charge $25.

Wow I just looked & there are some great rates:

BC $269
AK $175
Poly $295

Too bad there are no discounts for June:sad1:

WARING WILL ROBINSON

Travelocity has been known to LIE! LOL!

I have gotten all the way to the end of the booking process on them several times to have them come back with "cannot confirm" LOL!

Also, refunds... a LARGE part of any delay is generally YOUR credit card. (BOA and MBNA are "infamous" for this. They receive the credit and can take SEVERAL weeks to post it to your account. Therefore they get to make money off of YOUR money and potentially charge you interest.... ) Part of the reason Disney and other places tell you "up to two billing cycles" is because they don't control the folks who have your money once they post the credit. (MBNA is the worst, I have friend who used to audit them. She claims they have a built in three to four week hold to post some credits... they "CLAIM" it's to prevent fraud.. YEAH!)

Forgot to mention this was through orbitz.

We booked the poly on Travelocity and received a rate of $294.94 +tax/fees. Room-only cost for 7 nights = $2,322.67 (31% discount). Be aware that full pre-payment is required and the cancellation policy according to my reservation says - outside 5 days = $25, inside 5 days = 1 night room charge, after check-in = 100% forfeit. Travelocity also includes free Magical Express - Orbitz does not. Everyone have a great trip.

Make sure to read the fine print. When I checked rates they were for 2 people and did not include tickets. I wasn't sure if my 2 munchkins would be extra:confused3

I know this to be true! I booked a weekend with them to Helen GA at a place that was showing no availability through the resort's site. I happened to call the resort direct to ask a question the day we were to check in, they said they were completely full and overbooked, they would be turning me away if I showed up with my Travelocity reservation! I called Travelocity and read them the riot act, they apologized and refunded my payment.

WOW! On mine it just comes back as "cannot confirm" and they haven't charged me! I really don't like using them because they are hard to deal with if there are issues and the cancellation policy is also "NONE" LOL!

As I said, I'd have been very unhappy if we arrived and were give nthe "too bad, so sad" routine. :) Wound up booking a clean, no frills Comfort Inn as you come into town. I worked out fine for us, room was clean, place was fairly quiet.
