Here it is, folks. I turn 30 next week! I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad to say goodbye to my 20s, but there's no stopping it. What better way to celebrate a birthday :cake: than with a solo trip down to Disney World, right?

HAHAHA WRONG. :rotfl2:

It started that way, but now the trip includes: my sister (DS), her boyfriend (DSBF), my brother (DB), my mom (DM), my dad (DD), my aunt (DA), my uncle (DU), and at least one cousin (DC1, DC2, etc if more show up). This is going to be interesting. :drinking1

A tiny bit about me:

I'm Lauren aka MusicalAstronaut!

I've been a WDW Passholder since about 2014, with a bit of a break in there when I got married (wedding planning is a lot of work!).
[Yes, I'm married, and DH is NOT coming on this trip. That was my gift to him. :P Besides, we just went to DLR this past weekend together to also celebrate my birthday. <3 He travels for work so we piggybacked that trip onto one of his work trips to save on flight & hotel.] I'm a microbiologist, I have 2 dogs and a cat, I live in Atlanta and I run a LOT. Those are basically the important things to know about me!

I made all of my plans assuming I was a solo traveler (to be fair, at the time I booked FPs I was), so I told everyone they know where to find me if & when they want to hang out.

Where: I'm staying at the Yacht Club and so is my immediate family. DA DU etc are at the Swolphin.

When: I fly down Thursday night, spend the evening offsite, and then switch to YC until Monday morning when I fly home.

Thursday
-Fly from ATL to MCO on Frontier
-Uber to Disney Springs and party with my friend Marissa (DBFF) until I'm too tired to stay awake
-Sleep at lame offsite hotel

Friday
-Check in to YC very early & drop my duffel with bell services
-There's the Seaside Sprint at BWI on Friday morning (8am), but I don't know if I'm going to do that or MK rope drop (MK has EMH that day). I guess I'll decide that morning.
-Bus to MK & use my fastpasses (Splash, Space, BTM)
-Back to YC for a nap/swimming at SAB aka the best pool ever
-Greet my family who will arrive in the early afternoon
-Eat & drink my way through the Flower & Garden festival :daisy: (it's my favorite!) and watch Illuminations (also my favorite!)
-Walk to DHS for my first DAH event. I decided to do this after I couldn't really decide which day I wanted to spend at DHS. I really just wanted to ride a few rides and go back to Epcot, so this seemed like a great way to do my rides but not "waste" too much time away from stuff I wanted to do more.
-Sleep?????

Saturday
-My mom asked me last week to make a dining reservation for the 10 of us. :rotfl2: I managed to get Ale & Compass at 7:40am for 8 people. Apparently we can't do more than that for that restaurant, and when I called Disney the CM wasn't really able to do anything. I asked about splitting the party into 4 & 6 and making a request to sit near each other, but she said her system was giving her trouble and she couldn't help me. She said she'd give me the number for A&C to make the request, but it was just WDW-DINE. I need to call back and see if I can get it fixed. I also don't really want to do any ADRs because I get sick  (from the rich food I guess) pretty much every time I'm at Disney, and if I want to enjoy F&G I don't think I want to eat breakfast beforehand.
[5/8 Update]
-Original plans: Rope Drop Epcot and use my fastpasses (Soarin', Mission Space, Spaceship Earth)

-Haha just kidding! I just booked a Cake Decorating Experience at Amorette's Patisserie for 9am Saturday with DBFF! Soarin' and Mission Space just got bumped to the distant afternoon, possibly to not be used at all. I'm already refreshing to see if I can get them back in the realm of noon.
-Flower and Garden FTW!
-Back to YC/SAB. :boat: I have a half day cabana booked (3-7pm) that I'm sharing with DM, DD, DS, DB, and DSBF. Hopefully the afternoon storms are brief!
-Over to AK for late night fun. I really enjoy AK at night and I'm hoping that the majority of people will be heading to MK since it'll be open until 11pm.

Sunday
-I'd like to do the Beignet Dash, but since it's at a different resort I'm not sure if I will. Also I ate 5 beignets at DLR this past weekend so maybe I don't need the extras right now. Seriously, I have no self control at Disney. :rotfl:

-Rope drop AK and use my fastpasses (Dinosaur, Everest, FOP)
-The final round of swimming at SAB!
-Maybe go back to Epcot for F&G
-Finish up the trip at MK by watching HEA

Monday
-DME to the airport & work
Generally speaking, all of my plans tend to go right out the window once I actually arrive at WDW. We'll see how it goes!
