I have read some negative posts of Boma and Raglan Road. Do you recommend I switch to someplace else?

No restaurant will please 100% of the people. Boma is awesome! Easily our fave. Great food selection. You can try new things or stick with the standard fare. Plus, it's at the AKL, a gorgeous hotel!

I'm adding Raglan Road to our dining plans after doing research on it.

If you look through the forum or heck any Disney site you will find negative posts about all the restaraunts on Disney property. Some food just doesn't meet certain people's needs or tastes. If you like the menus, try them for yourself and see. I see more positive then negative reviews about both restaraunts when I check a variety of sites including here, allears and passporter and unoffical guide (the last two just for Boma). If you think you'll like it then I'd keep the reservation. Otherwise you will end up chosing somewhere else and finding some negative posts about that restaraunt as well.

Well Boma runs 83% up 17% down in surveys.

If you're a total meat and potato plain food person, I'd probably say don't go.
Otherwise, give it one try.

Stick with your choices and make up your own minds. Raglan Road is cavernous and a bit souless during the early part of the evening, so I suggest dining later when things get going - the atmosphere's better. That said, we were there in January, so I guess during busier times of year it could fill up earlier in the evening. Read up on the 'history' of Raglan Road (e.g. the forays to Ireland to source authentic, original fittings) - it makes you appreciate the place more when you're there.

If you are a picky eater, skip Boma.

I thought Boma was WONDERFUL. I enjoyed trying all the exotic foods and experiences the different flavors/spices that I never get to eat. If you are not an adventurous eater, than you will probably feel put-off there and find only a few selections on the buffet. If you love trying new things and are "open" to most foods, you will love it here.

i would recommend both boma and raglan road - we ate at both restaurants a month ago and had good food and great evenings...some of the food at boma is definately different but there are enough choices of "everyday" food mixed in with the more exotic - the hotel is great to roam around in after dinner (the firepits inside and out are great, you can see some animals from the outside deck, etc)
raglan road is fun - food is okay but the music and the irish dancer make for a fun evening...ask to be seated in the main dining room (close to the stage)
have a great time! (both restaurants take the DDE card)

I not crazy about Boma, but I think part of that is that I read so much hype about it before going that nothing could live up to the expectation.

And, even though I didn't care for it, I'm really glad I went at least once--it is an interesting experience, and not to be missed!

We love boma :thumbsup2 I dont recommend raglan road i thought the food was bad and service was even worse

We have ADR's for Boma's in May. We have never eaten there. I also have read some bad reviews for Boma's, but I'm not going to cancel my ADR's.

Go and decide for yourself, we are. Only you can decide if you like it or not.

Go and enjoy. pixiedust:
Like others have said, not everyone will like everything. The majority of reviews for both have been good. I've booked these two for our upcoming trip and we're looking forward to trying something new! Try it once and if you don't like them, you know not to go there in the future. :goodvibes

We have not tried Raglan Road yet but Boma is wonderful! You should try it at least once.
