Thinking of switching from Riviera to Art of Animation

20 years is ridiculous. If you want to give someone info based off your experience 20 years prior PLEASE tell them “20 years ago XYZ”. Things changed so much in the last decade pre-Covid isn’t even relevant sometimes much less 2 decades ago!!
This from Touring Plans (dated 28 January 2024) suggests the policy that was explained to me is still in effect:

Some parties (1 or 2 adults ages 18+ with minor children) may be able to book multiple rooms on a single reservation that will be marked as guaranteed connecting rooms; call Disney to inquire or book through a travel agent. Although travel agents tell us that it’s rare, keep in mind that issues above like rooms unexpectedly out of service may still find you with non-connecting rooms.

You’re reaching. You posted based off your experience 20 years ago. Just disclose it. If you wanna attempt to back it up say “20 years ago XYZ and when I checked X blogger said it might still be current” then just add that in.

Full disclosure is best, people are making choices about potentially once in a lifetime trips, we don’t want to steer them wrong and the best chance we have of that is full disclosure when our DP may not exactly be current.

I'd stay in Music family suites before AOA.

I'm not a fan of AOA in general.

I'm sure it would cost even less too.
Plus I just like the set up of the suites better than AOA's suites.
I'm curious what makes you lean All Star. We stayed at All Star Movies back in '08 and had a terrible time. Doorways were too small for strollers, food court was blah, and bus service was the worst of any of my WDW stays BY FAR.

If figure AoA is probably a lot like the All Stars, except it at least has the gondolas. No waiting for buses and ECVs loading into them.

I ask because I booked a crazy good deal at the Cars area of AoA and wondering if I should just go to POR.

Well I don't have to deal with strollers but the doorways are standard...

The AOA rooms have not gotten a refurb where as the rest of the values have.
I just don't think the set up is great in the AOA suites compared to the Music suites.

I've never had a problem with the All Star buses.

And the paths are long with no short cuts at AOA.

I've stayed at POR and I also enjoy it there.
