But I can't find the prices I see everyone else seems to get!!!

It is myself, BF (we live together), DS 15 and DD 9 (time of trip). He's really great with the kids and we all get along great but I'm thinking 10 days in a cramped room might push him over the edge. lol He says he will be fine and doesn't care and will stay wherever I plan but I'm trying to think of everyone in this situation.

I'm thinking a two bedroom at WBC would be awesome for space. Proximity is awesome and the place looks gorgeous. If I'm going to stay offsite it's really the only place I'm interested in.

For 9 nights I've been quoted 1550 for 9 nights for August/September 2015. That was through vacation strategy. I also received a quote from Farrells Vacations for 1300 for the same dates.

I'm just not finding these quotes of $700 for a week or even under $1000 for a week. Is it because I'm planning so far out?

Yes, the further out you book, the more you will pay.

Look at what the resort is going for right now on ebay to get a general idea of what you could be paying next year.

Waiting until that close to the date terrifies me but we will see.

Then make an acceptable back-up reservation.

Mousesavers has the Buena Vista suites for 9 nights in Aug/Sept for $931. It includes breakfast but not wi-fi.

ETA: If you don't mind moving, Vacation Central Florida has a 2-bedroom condo at Windsor Hills for 8/29-9/5 for $299 for the whole week. Add taxes and fees and the total is $438.

Windsor HIll looks really great and that price is awesome!

People get great prices because they are willing to be flexible. If you arent flexible, chances are you'll pay the going rate.

I would say start looking at hotels and resorts at the first of Jan. You is almost 11 months out. some hotel and resorts may not have there reverstions go out that far.
