Thinking of impromptu trip 5/2-5/4..any reasons I shouldn't?

We were thinking of taking the kids for short little 3 day trip on May 2-May 4. I'm thinking it shouldn't be overly crowded then since Spring Break should be over and summer break hasn't started. Is there any unforseen reasons you think we shouldn't do the trip. I didn't notice any big conventions those days. I just don't want to make the drive and I overlooked something and it's crazy busy. I expect some people there, of course, since it's the 50th. But I'm hoping to avoid mass chaos type crowds. My kids are all young (1, 2 & 4) and can't handle the long queues and huge crowds. Thanks for your advice.

It will probably be mildly busy, but nothing too bad. I'm sure in three days you will have enough time to do anything and everything that you want to do, so i say go do it and enjoy yourself. It should be awesome .

The hotels all seem sort of on the full side but I've heard there are 3 mid size conventions that are taking up the space. I'll be there May 4-7. I'm hoping its not crazy busy.

I saw that the DLH was full.........hope I won't be sorry I booked there, but if it is conventions it may not be too bad. Any clue to what kind of convention? Nudists ? Hopefully groups who hate theme parks!

The early part of the week is a dental convention, the weekend is United Methodist womens group.

It doesn't appear to be the kind that'll necessarily do DLR, but who knows.
