We have been toying with the idea of DVC for years, but recently started really digging into all the information. We have gone to DW at least once a year for the last 10 years, several years twice a year. We have stayed at most of the Disney resorts, with Beach Club being our absolute favorite. We are looking at a 250 - 270 point BC resale, because we need at least a one bedroom. Our oldest son is 13, and we can't take him out of school anymore - his advanced classes have just become too hard to make up missed work. We would have to visit DW the last week of May, or the 1st week of June each year. Does anyone have any experience with booking BC either of these two weeks? I am so scared to buy DVC, and then not be able to book the week that we need. DH will not visit in the summer, too hot and crowded! If we need to book either of those weeks, what would be the best use year to purchase? Thanks in advance for any help!

If you buy BCV and book the trip during the home resort booking window (7-11 months prior to arrival), you will not have a problem at all. Late May and early June is not one of the times that book up quickly, and 1 bedrooms are less popular than the 2 bedrooms and studios.

If you plan to visit at that time every year, then October, December, February, March or April use years would work well for you.

:)DH and I have been to WDW yearly since 2002 and twice in 2004. Like you, we mulled it over and purchased 210 points at AKV last week. We are so excited. We will never be able to own a vacation home but we could manage a piece of this pie. God luck to you and I wish you years of happy travel.
