We received the code offer for free dining and we have already done two trips this year but Im trying to talk my husband into just the two of us going. He is self employed so really doesn't want to take more time off of work. But here is the deal:

For $ 1461.66, we get 4 nights, 5 days at a moderate (I picked Caribbean Beach Resort- never stayed here, something new to try) all our tickets, free dining, the free transport from airport to Disney by Disney AND I have two free airline tickets. Sounds too good not to use doesn't it!!!?? And he never works black friday or sat & sun. So he would only miss Monday and Tuesday. Im really working on getting him to buy into this deal ;)

Anyone ever been that weekend and are the crowds bearable?

Also, we have never been during the Christmas season so it would be wonderful to see the Christmas parade and the castle all draped in "ice"

Any tips would be helpful!!!!

We arrived on Thanksgiving Day, and departed the following Wednesday afternoon. The crowds were unbelievable from Thanksgiving Day until Monday. Monday night the crowds got a bit better, and on Tuesday the parks were finally bearable!!! We hit MK on Wednesday morning, and it was glorious.
It would seem that it takes a bit before the crowds die down!!!
On that Friday??? We hit WS figuring it would be better than other park areas. It was shoulder to shoulder in there, about an hour after it opened!!! It was mind boggling. The rest of Epcot wasn't any better. On Sat, we hit DHS...again, huge crowds. I doubt I'll go back at this time of year again. I now wait until those people go home and then hit WDW the first or second week in Dec.

I arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving almost every year and it is still super busy through Sunday. Then it does drop off, but it in not nearly as slow as it was when I first started going in 2000.

Also, realize that most people arrive Sat/Sun before or late Wed night. They do not leave until late Sat/early Sun. It may be nearly impossible to get a room starting on Friday, since they will be filled to capacity.

How about weather expectations? We arrive on Sunday 11/25...what should be expect if temps/weather are 'normal' lets say? Is it warm enough to use pools and enjoy some sun? Should we bring thermal underwear and heavy coats?? I hope the not!!

If I could predict the weather in November, I would not be working in my present job.

I have been almost every year since 2000, and it has never been the same weather twice.

Also, you are asking a question that is subjective. What is "warm" to you?

I have been in temps from low 50's to low 90's during the day. I work outside, so I can tolerate shorts down to the 50 degree mark with layers.

You just check the weather two days before you leave, and pack in layers; depending on what you would wear for that particular temperature. You have to realize that Florida is part of the Atlantic, not the Caribbean.

I already booked our room from Friday 11/23 thru Tuesday 11/27 so getting a room isn't a problem thank goodness! The CM I spoke with today said that I could add the waterpark and more option when we get down there based on the weather. He did said all waterparks are heated so that does help some :)

I hoped not also when we were down 2 years ago and it was freezing!! And I mean "north-face fleece wasn't even warm enough" freezing! The first day it was in the 60s and then the cold front hit. I think everyone was shocked. Last year I checked the calendar to see what the weather was like around the same time and it was in the 70s - so you just never know! I'm heading down November 29th this year and we have our fingers crossed we wont have to wear coats again!

Changed our reservations to Thursday Nov. 29 to Dec. 4th!!!

We have been going late Nov/early Dec for the past few years but did NOT go in 2010, which you refer to. Every other time it has been wonderful (70-80) and rained once each week. So since we are going it should be beautiful :)

We were there and it was insanely cold! We are going to brave it again this year and hope that the weather cooperates this time.:)
