Currently have a 160 at AKL with a Feb use year. We are planning to add on. Trying to decide which resort would be best. We have stayed at the Boardwalk Villas most (AKL a couple times, and this last trip was at Saratoga..got home a week ago). We have preferred the Boardwalk so far and did no care for Saratoga as much. At Saratoga, we missed the indoor resort feeling. We spend a lot of time at Epcot. We are thinking about Beach Club or Boardwalk. Checking resales, I am also considering Wilderness Lodge.

Of the three we are considering, we have only been at at the Boardwalk, but we are leaning towards a Beach Club add on. Any advice as to which we should look at?

There are many variables including which resort, how many points and whether to get the same use year or not. For a smaller package, I'd definitely get the same UY, for larger, it depends on your attention to detail and how you normally reserve and travel. SSR or an extended OKW will likely be your best $$ value, esp if you normally don't reserve at the 11 month mark. However, if you want to use these points mostly for BWV and get standard or BW view mostly, BWV is likely your best choice. Then there's always the question of a new property, like GF or possibly the Poly.

If you usually book at the 11 month window I would buy wherever you think you'll enjoy staying the most.
If you book at 7 month or less , then I'd go for the best value (Saratoga Springs).
We spent some $$ on BLT , and never book at 11 months out..... therefore I am always staying at SSR or OKW.... yet I paid a premium for my points.

I wish I would have just bought the cheapest points.

Other than that.... I love Boardwalk, its location is awesome, its my favorite resort....

If you love the Boardwalk and Epcot area I would def go with either BWV or BCV. Boardwalk might be a few dollars per point cheaper but Disney has been buying them back recently. You might have a better chance of getting through ROFR with BCV.

Although if you are looking to save a little money VWL is an awesome location and cheaper than either of the Epcot resorts.

We have 310 points at BLT, all bought direct (but paid SO much less than current prices :scared1:) and have only stayed there once. Most of our trips are booked a month or 2 out so we have stayed at SSR twice and once at OKW in the last 8 months. Have learned to LOVE both SSR and OKW but are in ROFR for BCV because we know we want to stay there for F&W.

BWV, if you can find the right contract seems to be selling for $10 to $20 less pp than BCV these days. But BWV has the highest MFs of all the on-property resorts, something to consider. If you really like the Epcot area, I would definately consider buying there.

WE have stayed at all 3--BWV, BCV, and VWL--and ended up adding on at BWV last summer because it was less expensive than BCV and we wanted a chance to get the SV or BW view. We will always book most of our trips around the 11 month so wanted to own where we love to be--so we have BLT and BWV.

If you want to be near Epcot, then I say go with the BWV or BCV.

Good luck!

Firstly, resale is definitely the way to go. You will save $for sure. As for which resort... We own at VWL because WL was my DH's favorite resort. I thought BWV would be my first choice. After staying at SSR, I know that I want points there. If you think you want BCV you should stay there and find out what you think of it. I personally do not care for SAB, but I do think the BC location is great. Resort choices are based on personal preference. Before investing a lot of money you should find out what you really like and what resort matches your vacation style and preferences.
