We have some friends visiting Disneyland the week of April 4th and were thinking of joining them. Touring plans shows a relatively slow week but looking on this board it shows Orange and Santa Anna school districts are on spring break along with a few medium size school districts in NorCal. Not to concerned about the NorCal ones but am concerned pretty much the two school districts that surround Disneyland are on spring break and it may be a zoo there. Since locals can pretty much visit anytime is Disneyland a popular location for them on their spring break? Just trying to see if we should skip the trip and go the 3rd or 4th week in April instead. Thanks!

Harry Potter's new zone opens (4-7-16) at Universal and I'd expect the locals to go there.

As long as you hit the parks at rope drop, I think you'll be fine. As everyone comments lately.... "It's always BUSY these days"

The last week of April leads up to Dapper Days. That has been know to bring LOTS of people to the parks the days leading up to and following the event.

Join your friends and have a great time!!

Doesn't matter what local schools are on spring break. Spring break for Disneyland starts February and goes through April. You have to think of colleges too. I would expect more locals at universal for Harry Potter, or they could decide not to deal with those crowds and be at Disneyland or knotts instead. Have you checked out the website www.isitpacked.com I find them to usually be pretty accurate.

My daughter and I will be in the parks on your dates as well. I have high hopes everyone will be at USH. We have the vip experience booked at USH for April 2nd (we could care less for Harry potter) so we hope everyone will flock over there and we will have the parks to ourselves ;)

That's not going to happen. :)

The largest district in south Orange County is also on spring break that week. There will be lots of folks from our district at the parks that week. It won't be empty but shouldn't be as bad as the week before and after Easter. I would recommend hitting the parks at rope drop!
