Thinking about traveling during Spring Break.

How bad is it? We were thinking of pushing an early fall trip forward 6 months (early April, before Easter weekend). Will it be over the top crowded? We went a few years ago over Memorial Day weekend and it was ok. Thanks for any thoughts.

We went the last 2 years over our Spring Break (which covers Easter Sunday). It was very busy, but not Christmas week busy (we've done that twice, too). Fall will be much less crowded (as long as it's not a holiday) and the weather should be nicer (it was REALLY hot this past April).

With a good touring plan anything is possible!

Not sure what week you are talking about. If the week doesn't end with Good Friday/Easter - you'll be fine. April is gorgeous.

I was thinking about the week ending in Good Friday, but we would go home on the Wednesday.

We went to WDW in 2014 during Spring Break. We were there for Easter. It was crowded, but not the worst I've seen it (like Christmas). Having ADR's and FP is a must. I agree with one of the other posters, it was surprisingly hot more than I expected it would be for April.

We went during Spring Break two years ago (March 2014) and it was packed in the afternoons - 9 out of 10 crowd levels. BUT since I planned things down to a tee with touring plans, we were really fine and got a ton done in the mornings and barely had to wait. I would do it again.

We go almost every spring break. It's not too bad, although last year our spring break was over Easter for the first time in many years. That trip was considerably more crowded, but no where as crowded as the week after Christmas is!

I love the Flower & Garden festival at Epcot! It's just so beautiful, and the little outdoor kitchens are fun to sample items at!

We went in 1999 Easter week. We arrived the Saturday before (Palm Sunday weekend) and returned home on Easter. I vowed I'd never go Easter/holiday week again unless someone paid for my trip.

Saturday thru Wednesday were not bad. Thursday I noticed a presence of more people, Friday, even worse, Saturday...this is pre kids and we got engaged this trip so we still had life left in us... Anyways, that Saturday evening we went to the MK. Every line was long, every which way we turned there were tons of people. I had never left a park prior to closing before that trip.

So with that being said, if you are returning home the Wednesday before you should be fine.

Me however will be in Ft. Myers and I am dreading it. 2 yrs ago we were there Easter week and the crowds were horrid. This past April it was after Easter and heavenly. But 2017 it will be Easter week for us..blah!

I've been at spring break a few times and haven't found it to be that bad. Of course, I'm used to being there at Christmas so I may have a warped view lol.

Spring break is busy for sure, but honestly Disney is almost always busy!! For me, Spring Break has never been any worse than during the summer months. I went last April and it was hot. In the 90s, so the weather wasn't much different than the summer either! With ADRs and FP+, you will be fine.

We go every year at spring break, as my DH and I are both school workers ourselves. It is bust but not crazy. We find that FP is a must and plan on being there later when crowds thin out!

We did it this year (no choice. School trip for DD). There was a fifteen minute wait for the people mover, to give you an idea of the crowds. Rope drop and patience will be essential.
