Thinking about putting in laminate flooring

I own a condo and I want to put laminate down in my living room/dining area. I have a dog & cat and I hate the carpeting. It's getting gross. Not to mention bird droppings from a parrot . I'm just so tired of scrubbing the carpet after them.

I need to know what you all have, and if you are happy with it. The prices I like are from lumber liquidators, much lower than Home Depot or Lowes. Has anyone used them? What's your thoughts on using laminate versus wood flooring?

we have laminate floors in 75% of our house and have 7 dogs. We ripped up carpet due to the yucky dog smell. It is so easy to clean, I just sweep up the dog hair and damp mop it. But on the down side it is much louder than carpet. I can hear my dogs running all through the house click click click

We love our laminate floors. You will experience doggie paw prints each day. Damp mopping takes them away, but you have to mop often.

I have laminate throughout my entire house(allergies). Yes it cleans better than carpeting, seems pretty tough-has withstood hot wheels and rollerblades so far- but it is louder....my cats sound like a herd of elephants!!

I have laminate and it is ruined from my 2 dogs. I hate it. I want Pergo.
