Thinking about popping the big Q at DLR...

One thing to keep in mind - if doing this in a large crowd especially during the fireworks is the noise level. This is definitely a time you'll want your partner to hear what you have to say and not worry about being drowned out by music or fireworks. My husband was going to propose in front of Cinderella Castle but relocated to a different location where we could still enjoy the fireworks but I would be able to hear him and we'd have a little privacy.

Hmmm I def think it won't be during the fireworks with way too much noise going on plus crazy crowds around, if they decide to change the current horrid WOC show that we saw last June to the previous one or a new one I might try the dessert package for WOC as an option....decisions decisions LOL

Anyway you do it, it will be perfect. We got engaged at WDW while dining at CRT. Stuff got flubbed up, and I ugly cried, but it was still perfect. Have fun, and keep us updated.

A friend's son-in-law proposed in front of the castle while they were posing for photopass photos. Got some fantastic photos, and it was pretty simple to pull off... no complicated planning involved. Good luck!

Perhaps at your hotel on check in? I am sure the hotel staff would work with you to pull off something awesome and plus, you would be really close to your hotel room for some privacy!

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and tips, still can't decide with so many options LOL

OK, the only proposal I ever witnessed was when I was dining at Club 33 (back when it was easier to get unaccompanied reservations.) I had started talking with a gal online on one of the other forums I am a member of - she wanted to go to Club 33. I was already planning on going and asking my friend to make reservations, so I asked if she wanted to join my party. I gave her my cell number, which she gave to her boyfriend (now husband) as well [we exchanged contact information]. Her now-husband contacted me and let me in on the surprise. He wanted to propose to her at Club 33. I asked my contact to make reservations with that note. I also asked about having a cake made (I ended up getting to speak to Club 33 personnel directly for the cake).

Anyhow, he spoke with the waiter, who put it on the cake (it had a really cute box so the ring didn't get messy). My friends and I (we all dined together) took lots of pictures with their cameras and our own. It was so sweet :)

They ended up marrying at WDW :)

That proposal sounds amazing, shame getting in that club is like Fort Knox as that would be a wonderful proposal for sure!!

I've heard of this before too. I believe one of the hosts of the DisGeek podcast proposed this way, but I can't remember for sure which of them it was.

You could contact Disneyland Vacation Planning at 714-300-7526. That is basically a special guest services department for guests staying at their hotels (which I'm assuming you would do, if you're proposing there). Anyway, I'm sure they would have a million ideas & could help you set something up, whether it be big or small.

Unfortunately we won't be staying on property this time as we had the amazing luxury of doing so our first visit last year, so this trip is just to have fun, and take in the MHP too and experience Disney during a different time of year as we went in June last year for the 60th. I *almost* pooped the Q last year while we were there but time got away from me and didn't get the chance to plan it out or anything, so because we had such a wonderful time, I want to ask this time back in Disney.....

Well, since you are going during a Halloween party, right? Perhaps you can jokingly propose while in a trick or treat line with a candy ring pop. Do this a couple of times, then do it with the real ring! You can get a 4 pack of the candy ring pops at Dollar Tree. I can imagine that blinged out hand! 4 ring pops and then, the real one.

Wonder if the JC folks can work something into their shpiel? You'd have a boat full of witnesses and from what we've seen at WDW that deadpan delivery can be wicked effective. I also like the evil queen tie in...maybe she or you could present a bejeweled apple box somehow containing THE ring or THE question? Good for you whatever you decide, anyone so concerned with planning the perfect proposal must be a catch! Your partner is one lucky person! :lovestruc:flower3:

Hmmm that could also be an option too as we didn't ride the Jungle Cruise on our last trip, so it would all be new....and might not catch on to their humor thus not realizing that the proposal would be in fact real and true....LOL

This is what DH did! It is pretty cool that we have pics of the moment.
