We are going to Kona, 50's PT, Boma, Coral Reef, Tony's and San Angel. We are staying at Poly and I am going with my parents and my brother. My dad likes nostalgic stuff and he is pretty old so I think he might like the 50's PT as it will remind him of when he grew up. My brother really wants to do Coral Reef, and my mom wants to try Kona. I ate at Boma last time I went with my friends and loved it, so I guess the only ones I want to change are Tony's and San Angel because I keep reading such bad things!! We are on the DDP and any suggestions will be appreciated!

Tony's is only so-so Italian. If you have a decent Italian restaurant where you live, it probably isn't worth it. San Angel is OK, but same thing, if you have a decent Mexican restaurant, probably isn't worth it.

We're trying the 50's PT for the first time our next trip. Not so much nostalgia buffs, but my kids are very outgoing and probably enjoy it. Love the Kona! We're going back there as well (it will be our third visit).

In place of Tony's, you could do LTT for lunch (menu) or Dinner (characters, family style) if you were looking for another TS at MK. I thought dinner was really good (for whatever reason, I loved the gravy!), and I have heard lots of good reviews for their lunch menu.

If you were looking to replace San Angel at Epcot, I have heard lots of good things about Biergarten (has shoes both at Breakfast and Lunch). We also did Garden Grill, and thought the food was really good, and like rotating around to different scenery. Of course it is a character meal, but is actually very quiet and calm. If you are in a booth on the lower level, it seems as if you are the only ones there!

As you can tell, we took kids and did lots of character meals. I really think both of these listed would still be good for a group of adults, since they are both pretty calm.

I personally think if you want to try these places, go for it. You might be surprised.

Before our last trip I heard some bad things about Whispeing Canyon. I got nervous and though about changing our ADR. I decided it was worth trying for ourselves and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Your experience may not be what others is, so give it a shot if you think you might enjoy it.

any suggestions will be appreciated!

My suggestion would be to not plan your trip around where to eat. IMO people take a whole weeks vaction, and make the 2 hours a day spent eating be the driving force that dictates where they need to be every waking moment.

Sounds like you have some ADR's in place already, I assure you that you will enjoy them all and have a GREAT time at each.

Enjoy your time with your family, enjoy the sunshine, enjoy the pool, enjoy the parks, enjoy it all.

We visited both on our last trip and we enjoyed Tony's food and service. San Angel food was another story, neither one like the food, service was bad and felt like a total waste of money.
