So I would love to buy DVC. I especially like the location of the boardwalk, but have never stayed there. I am a teacher and the 2 likely times I would go each year would be the week of New Years (not between Christmas and New Years) and the last week in May. Would those weeks be difficult to book 7 months out? The HH and VB pricing is tempting compared to the BWV, but then why pay at all if you can't go when you would like? Thanks

I can't speak for New Year's week, but we have been able to book for the last week in May for several years now at the 7 month window.

As for buying VB or HH, just remember that the initial investment is only a one time cost but the maintenance fees continue for many years. The fees at VB and HH are higher than other properties, so unless you plan on booking at the 11 month window for those two properties or unless you just want to own there you might want to consider a purchase at another resort. I personally bought HH because I had the intention of booking during the summer months so the higher fees were worth it for me.

Good luck with your decision.:)

Since you would want to travel around the holidays, I would want the 11 month booking window of your home resort, especially at BWV/BCV/VWL, they are smaller.

Yes the prices of VB and HH are tempting, but the dues at VB are quite a bit more than at the WDW DVC's,I just did an add-on there. The reason why, to get the 11 month booking for Spring Break.
