Thinking about buying DVC but have a question

Hi. We are seriously thinking about buying into DVC, but have one major question: if we were to buy in when we go on our trip in July, when would we be able to use our points for our first trip? We'll be coming down for the marathon in Jan, and would like to be able stay on points for that trip - would that be possible?

That shouldn't be a problem. In fact when we bought, one of the conditions was for our guide to get us a reservation for our upcoming trip. That reservation was ours before all the paperwork was done.

SHouldn't be a problem - Disney likes to have a "magical" beginning for new members so ask for it and your guide should be able to get it-

Don't forget to refer someone. It's a great bump for someone else who has DVC.

We bought in April of 07 and were able to book accommodations for June of that year. Once they get your paperwork back (or if you do it down there) it's pretty quick as to when the points are in your acct. Our guide also helped us with the first reservation!
