My wife and I weren't going to do a vacation again this year, but we are both NEEDING one badly. So we are going to bite the bullet...WHOOPPPIE!!!!

And that means Disneyland!!!! :dancer:

We LOVE the Disneyland hotel, but it's not in our budget this year. We hated the BWPPI, and really liked the Hojo but the beds are too firm for my wife. The Fairfield looks like a decent option.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

we are staying there, it has awesome reviews on trip advisor and the rooms look great. we go in August, I plan to give a full review when I get back. :)

I've stayed at the Fairfield twice. It was lovely both times. The walk from Disneyland to the hotel was easy. Walking part McDonald's was lovely, we got a midnight snack. The rooms were clean and comfy. We only had one issue when one morning we heard the kids in the next room getting ready (our room was a connecting room and we didn't know the other people). We heard them, but it didn't wake us up (being from NYC we're used to sleeping with loud noises). We usually drive up to Anaheim from San Diego early in the morning, go to the park, have an early lunch (around 11:30), go to the hotel around 3 and take a nap and get a later lunch (we eat a lot) at the Pizza Hut. It's nice that the hotel is so close to the park that we are able to just hop back and forth. Once we check in we leave the car at the hotel and walk back over to the park. There are vending machines on each floor which is lovely for that 3am snack. Overall, my two friends and I enjoy this hotel.

We stayed there 4 years ago and really liked it. Easy walk to DL, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I cannot comment on the firmness of the beds, I don't remember. I do remember we had some VERY noisy neighbors partying outside one night, and I called the front desk and they took care of it immediately. Dh stayed there by himself last year when he had to go to a convention for work, and he also had an enjoyable experience. We are booked there for our July DL trip.

You made a good choice--Fairfield Inn does get great reviews. I was really considering the Fairfield as well...I ended up booking the Anaheim Sheraton Park instead (they have a $99 rate on their website). I was hoping to stay somewhere new (and also stay somewhere where I could earn points)

Then, when my mom said she wanted to come as well, I changed to Candy Cane Inn! (We've stayed at CCI before and my mom really liked the dedicated shuttle, breakfast, etc.--she doesn't like trying new things!)

Have fun!

I swear I should work for these people or they should be giving me some bonus' when I stay at the end of this month but here is my review.....
We have always had a lovley stay at the Fairfield.
This will be our 5th stay. Once as a couple and fourth time as a family.
We have always had clean, comfy rooms, great service and reasonable rates.
It is close, clean and you feel safe plus proximity to the park is great.
have a great trip.

I don't know if you are an annual pass holder but if you are they are offering rooms at the Paradise Pier (onsite) for 149.00 a night. If you don't have an AP they are also running the 5 nights for the price of 3 but you must get your tickets in the package and stay by Sept. sometime. I don't know of any other places other than Emabassy suites South which is 1 mile away. They actually are getting expensive (129-159) but they are all 2 room suites and they have a full buffet breakfast every morning and a social time for 2 hours every night where you get free drinks (alcoholic) and snacks, which does bring the room price down when figured in. They do have the Anaheim transit for I think $3 per day??? Good luck and enjoy..

We just finished an awesome stay at Faifield Inn Anaheim on Harbor! It was awesome. We all LOVED the hotel, the staff and the easy walk to the hotel. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. And we have been diehard Hojo Fans for years. DH, DS and myself both agree that the walk is just that much easier at the end of the night than it is to get to Hojos. We've paid full rack rate at Hojos because we loved it and the service there that much. However, we would not hesitate to stay at the FFI again. It was so convenient! The beds were so comfortable! The room is just a tad smaller than the Hojos Disneyland facing rooms, but seriously, we along with our 6 pieces of luggage (3 of them large sized and 3 of them carry ons), and miscellaneous stuff we bought along the way, didn't notice it at all! I have some pics, I'll probably post a little later to the hotel oom pics thread...
Have fun!:cheer2:

The Fairfield Inn is a great stay! Super close, easy walk. Nice clean rooms, large beds, and they even have a little Disney decor in the rooms. The McD's at the end of the parking lot is great for a fast & cheap breakfast or late night dinner. You can see the fireworks if you are high enough up, we were able to see them I think on the 9th floor on New Years Eve.

Yes, the Disney decor! I remember last time we went, my 3.5 yo dd thought the hotel WAS disneyland!

Thanks. Looking forward to our August stay here.

labattblue, when in August are you going to be there? I have us booked there too, we were originally going to stay at the Homewood Suites, but it's like a significant amt. of difference, even if the HS does include breakfast, evening manager's reception, beer and wine...but we would have to buy the ART shuttle passes, and that would be extra too. Everything I've read on here and Tripadvisor seems to say that the Fairfield is just fine! I was just worried about the amount of room, there are my husband, myself and two teens, but with the pull out sofa, it should be ok..

Any discounts for the fairfield inn ?

I couldn't find any, but I got the best price by booking directly through them. $119 a night. I could have gotten it a bit cheaper, but then I'd have to pay it all in advance, with no cancellations. Too risky with three little kids.

We love the Fairfield too. Have stayed at HoJo's and liked it too...is it just further away. The beds are sooooo comfy at the Fairfield! I have a really nice bed at home and this one, to me, is just as comfortable.

Great choice! Have a fab trip.

They have new beds at HoJo, and they are quite comfortable! We typically stay at the Grand Californian, but wanted to come in a day earlier and we stayed at HoJo. We have never stayed at HoJo, but because of the great reviews here at the Dis, we booked one night.

We were very impressed! We got one of the premium rooms with the Matterhorn/fireworks view. The room was very clean, roomy, comfortable, the beds were great, and we would definitely stay here again! Katrina at the front desk was very accommodating and we received excellent customer service! We asked for extra blankets, and before we could get back up the the room, the blankets had arrived!

Since we arrived late at night, we did not walk to the parks, but our hotel stay overall was nice! I like the retro feel to the hotel! They also have the entertainment rate going on right now! Beats any rate hands down! We got an unbelievable rate!

Any discounts for the fairfield inn ?
they had the three for 5 special, I got that back in March.
Fairfield is not as far as the HOJO and has as good of reviews. I would rather not walk any farther then I have to after midnight and when Im exausted.
