Things to do outside the parks?

Things for adults to do outside the parks: looking for recommendations. Maybe something less than $25/pp. We will have a rental car for a few days. I lived in Orlando when I was on the college program, so I'm going to take my family through Dr. Phillips and some of the LBV areas. What is new that I might not know about?

Any recommendations or suggestions? We are staying on Disney property, but are not going to the parks this trip.

What is Dr. Phillips? I am also looking for off-site things to do.

Sort of an up-scale area of LBV (i.e. Tiger Woods has a home there, but I think that community is gated). I'm the daughter and wife of builders, so we look at homes everywhere we go. If you exit Disney property at the DTD end, turn left (north?) on SR 535, and keep going as it turns into Apopka-Vineland, you'll eventually run into it.

There are also a few shopping centers past Dr. Phillips near Sand Lake Rd that have some unique stores.

As far as I know Tiger Woods lives in Windermere,not Dr.Phillips.Windermere is definitely nicer than Dr.Phillips.From what I've heard tons of athletes live in Windermere.As far as what to do,try International Drive,I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to do there,new shopping centers and outlets are all over try the Mall of Millenia,the Premium and Prime outlets,Festival Bay.Pointe Orlando next to the convention center did a renovation and now has several nice restaurants.

We're going to Celebration to do lunch and some shopping. We are also going to The Wine Stop ( or Shop ) in Winter Park.

My kids love miniature golf so we do lots of that!!! We ahve also done day trips to Cape Canaveral Nation Seashore and Vero Beach!!
