Things to Do on a Cruise

You can check out some of the navigator's online (I know there are several at http://www.dcltribute.com), they list the daily activities from past cruises. It seems like there's generally a good bit going on, though later at night you've pretty much got movies/shows and after that just the adult night clubs/bars.

The ship (clubs and all) seemed to shut down around midnight, but that was two years ago.

Well, not quite all day ANd all night, but close to it. DD prowled the ship at 3 am on our last cruise--she reported that there was lots of cleaning activity going on, and that she had been "trailed" by a safety officer.

Things seem to wind down about 1 am....but do check the navigators which are posted on several sites. Course, if you're up early, you really can't party ALL night.

My understanding is that the action continues later at night on some other cruise lines. On Disney, everything does wind down around midnight. In the wee hours, it seems like the teens are the only ones with energy left to burn. Of course, they also tend to sleep late.

Our Disney cruise was my 7th cruise. Disney truly is an early to bed, early to rise cruise line, or at least the passengers are. Everything tends to wrap up by midnight. Other cruises my wife and I were on before we had kids were different, a lot of the late night activities didn't start until midnight, or later so folks that went to the midnight buffet had a place to go afterwards. Now, other than the chocolate late night buffet, and the seafood late night buffet on the Magic, Disney doesn't even do midnight buffets because everyone is in bed!!!

My favorite was dancing! From what I remember, every night there was a live band singing and dancing on deck 9 at the pool. A lot of kids and some adults participated. It was quite fun! My kids enjoyed themselves too! :cool1:

and...sail away party! :boat:
