Things to do near Polynesian Resort

I'am currently trying to plan out the day of my Disney intimate wedding,,but since I haven't actually been to Disney World since I was 12 I don't know what's where,,

My wedding is at the Garden Gazebo at the end of Oct.,,we are thinking of hosting a dinner for about 10 guests at the Spirit of Aloha Dinner show and then watching the Magic Kindom Fireworks from the Lagoon at the Polynesian. Im trying to time everything so we all have something to do with no big lapses in time.

So far my wedding is at 3,,the dinner show would be at 5:15 and is about 2 hours long,,the fireworks should go off around 9:30 - 10:00 (due to the Halloween Party in the park). Does anyone have any inexpensive ideas on what to do during the 2 1/2 hours in between the dinner and the fireworks???

Any help would be greatly appreciated,,*smiles*.

Depending on sunset times, you might be able to rent a couple pontoon boats and cruise around the lagoon for a while, then maybe get together and have soft drinks or something on the beach. The Electrical Water Pagent still runs in the evenings, usually about 30 minutes before fireworks. In the down time you can just enjoy being able to visit with friends...

Thanks for the replies,,Im still not sure what we will be doing,,at this time I don't even know what time the fireworks will take place that nite so for now I guess I'll move onto other planning. I think we will still do the dinner show though,,*smiles*. I'll figure out something for after. The boats sound nice,,Id love to do the cruise with strawberries and champane,,but I'll have to see it that would fit into the budget.
