We are gong to SW for one day prior to our May 2008 Disney cruise. Would you be willing to share your opinnions on the following:

What shows would you recommend for us (ds12, ds7, dd7):

What restaurants/dining would you recommend (anything good without a major wait):confused3

Can we see most of SW in one day and what plan should we follow in order to see the most?

I feel lost in making plans for SW because I haven't been there since my honeymoon 21 years ago;) and I'm sure it has changed alot. Thank you for your help.:)

Its not disney. It wont be uber crowded, and it wont be uber packed. You can go, and hit pretty much everything. If you want to do the rides, do them first. The shows, there is a schedule at the front of the park with all the times, grab that, go see the dolphins and plan the rest of your day. A must see? Shamu, Clyde and Seamore. Actually all of the shows are must see, just go and have fun. Restaraunts are easy. The only two you have to have a res. for is Dine With Shamu and Sharks Underwater Grill. Both are high end, both fill up quick. Everything else, pretty much counter service, and if you go early you'll miss lines. The park opens at 9, be there at 8, get a good parking spot, be first in line...eat an early lunch, and you'll be all daisies.

What counter service do you recommend? Any better than the rest?

Are the rides for all ages or are they thrill rides more for older kids?

Yes, I am not very familiar with SW and I know these questions probably seem very basic, but I'm just trying to get the basics down for my travel notebook. I just need a little bit of a plan to make the day go smooth for the family. Thanks for your help.

Shamus happy harbour has about 5 or 6 rides, all for kids. Kraken is for older kids, your little one might like Journey to Atlantis if they like splash mountain. Counter service, you couldnt pick a better place.....they have just about everything from ribs and chicken, to pizza, to just sandwiches to even hamburgers and hotdogs. My personal favorite is the hospitality house. They have this beef stew bowl that is to die for, its huge, and at 7 bucks, its cheap.
