For our May trip, the only resort I am looking at that I have not stayed in is Riviera. We do like downtime at the resort. Besides Topolinos, how is it for that? How are the pools? Thanks.

Pools are fun! The feature pool is small and the slide is sort of small, but there are games in the afternoon. There's also an ice cream cart at the pool. (In addition to QS not far away). The other pool is large enough for lap swimming, is usually quieter, and the grassy area in between has some swings and games (I only remember bocce but there may be more).

There's lawn chess, outdoor movies, nightly campfire with amazing gourmet s'mores kits, the Eventi Room (basically a Community Hall with lots of crafts/activities). They even have special crafts like a cool paint-your-own animation cel. There are a couple of great scavenger hunts available. And take advantage of the DVC open house and walk through the 3-bedroom villa - it's gorgeous and literally the size of a house! This resort is my new favorite place to be, there's so much to do! And super easy to take the Skyliner to Yacht & Beach even, if you want to spend some resort time hanging out there as well.

You can also walk to CB and enjoy their food and drinks. Seat by the white sand area with some wine.....
Watch the fireworks from Topolinos if you are able to get to their rooftop.

Bar Riva is a nice little place to enjoy a libation and sandwich. Indoor outdoor with heat/air and right close to the Kiddie pool. Food comes from PP and is really good.

IMHO the best ride at Disney right now is the skyliner and it’s right outside your door. Hop on go walk around the Boardwalk and take a boat ride to Hollywood Studios then hop back on to the skyliner to Riviera.
