We are taking our kids to the Pirate Treasure Hunt at the Grand Floridian in February.....has anyone got some suggestions as to what us adults can do for 2 hours, while we wait for them (we are staying off site) ??:confused3

We grabbed a breakfast with our 2 year old that featured Mary Poppins, Alice & the Mad Hatter, Tigger & Pooh at the GF while our older ds was on the cruise (turned out the 2 year old was scared of Mary Poppins, Alice & the MH--loves all big furry characters, just not "human" ones, I guess, that was a frustrating $50 tear filled breakfast  but I digress)...

Then we hopped on the monorail with the 2yo ds to check out the Poly lobby and that pretty much filled up the 2 hours.

Perhaps someone will post a more interesting way to fill the time, but despite our little guy's tears, eating pretty much worked for us:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Your kids will have a blast on the Pirate cruise, ours sure did.pirate:

The Grand Floridian has a few stores to shop in, go to Poly and shop around there and maybe Contemporary. Just make sure you are back at where you drop them off before the boat gets back. It will be well worth it.

We went to the Poly, grabbed a cup of Kona and went down on the beach and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

You could easily spend 2 hours in the beautiful lobby of the GF, listening to the music and enjoying the shops. You could also walk to the beach and relax. This is such a beautiful resort- sightseeing is a must!

Monorail hop shop through the CR, Polynesian and back to the GF. Its fun to check out the different lobbies and stores.

You and the Mrs. can take 2 water sprites out on bay lake and have fun...just be a kid.

Then, go to the 4th floor (ithink) of the GF lobby to MIZNERS LOUNGE. It is a quaint little cocktail lounge with a very good wine selection. Just sit back and relax untill the kids are done.

Might be a little early for the wine, the Pirate Cruise is at 9AM I believe. LOL! My husband and I got breakfast at the GF and did some shopping there.

How about a couples hot stone massage, or another treatment, at the Grand Floridian Spa?

How much does the Pirate Treasure Hunt cost? I looked around but wasn't able to locate the price anywhere. Thanks!

You could Pool Hop

or

You could refill your POP mug at the GF soda fountain

On a serious note, I would get a cup of coffe, a danish and go sit by the beach and enjoy a relaxing moment and watch the sites. I think too many people miss the opportunity to just do "nothing" while at Disney.

I've never understood the people that have the elaborate plans to do "X" while their kids are on the Pirate Cruise. It just seems like too much rushing around for the two hours that you have.

There is a Basin store at GF that sells lovely bath products(reminds me of Lush products). You could also take the boat to MK and back or resort hop on the monorail. Go to Kona Cafe for coffee. Check out the shops at the CR. The time will go by quickly!

Grab a bloody mary, mimosa or a cup of coffee, sit on a hammock at the beach at the GF and enjoy the silence.

Its funny but 2 hours with out kids seems to FLY, but 2 hours with them....not so much! :goodvibes

Ahhh Basin White is in the GF. Bath products that are a step or two above the regular Basin Line(read more expensive:rotfl2: but really lovely) But I would also think about renting the Water Sprites. Could be fun for half an hour or an hour.
