Things to do at Fort Wilderness

We are going to Mickeys Backyard BBQ in June (hopefully - no reservation yet due to the new 90 day thing) and were wondering what all there is to do at Fort Wilderness? Would it be worth it to spend most of the day there and then do the BBQ? I have read about horseback rides and a petting zoo - anything else? We are staying at Pop so our other option for the day would be just hanging out there and enjoying the pools. Any advice????

You can rent those mouser boats and ride all around Bay Lake and the Seven Seas lagoon...you can get a nice close up view of MK, The Grand Floridian, Poly...also you can charter a boat to go fishing. They also have bikes you can rent to ride around, there is a great trail from the Fort to the Wilderness Lodge.

They also have hay rides, carriage rides, canoeing and the Chip n Dale campfire singalong and movie at night.
